I am in the mages arcane university and I do no kno how to figure out what to do at vahtacen cave and I'm stuck there can someone help?

There is a stone pillar in the center of the room with four crystals surrounding it talk to the guy just outside the room and he will send you for a book once you have the book he will be able to translate the four texts that are written on wall behind the crystal starting from your left as you enter the room use the spell the text asks for, if you don't have the spell check the boxes by the guy who translated the text and there are some in there, be careful if you use the wrong spell you get shocked and can easily die if your not powerful enought.

If you search you will find a room with a pillar in the center and four crystals around it, if you talk to the guy just outside the room he will ask you to get a book, this will allow him to translate the text which is written on the wall behind the crystals, if you start from your left as you enter the room and use the correct spell as indicated by the text the pillar will move to form stairs, if you don't have the spells there are some in a box by the guy who translated the texts. Be careful as if you use the wrong spell or in the wrong order you get a shock, depending on your level a couple could kill you.

PS. Once you have the artifact you are looking for, liches will appear along with other monsters so be prepared to fight, or run fast as they will fight each other given you a some time to escape.
