Oblivion Broken?

Ive only had oblivion for the PC for a few weeks but now whenever I try to load a save the game crashes or freezes, even when I make a new person, the disk is clean and free of scratches, I already tried uninstalling. And when I make a new account the game crashes when I leave the sewers... Please respond.
