You need to get 10 stars or over. Enter the castle and stand on the car, keep clicking C up until it zooms in really close. Use the joystick to look up and you will be teleported to the secret room. Click on the switch and you've got the capSmile

First you need to get 10 stars. Then enter the main room of the castle. Look up into the light that is shining from the ceiling. You should enter the Wing Cap course.

Get 10 stars, and then, in the room where you're in after you enter the castle, a bright light will be shining down on the sun carpet. Step into it, and use C-Up to look directly into it. You will be transported to the secret room, where you can hit a switch to unlock the Wing Cap boxes.

Actually you need to stand on the star looking mat and stare up with C-up and look into the bright light and you should be teleported to a secret place to get the red flying cap.

Keep getting stars until the middle of the main room in the castle has a strong light coming down. Then go to one-person view, and look up. The next thing you know, you're in the air with a winged-cap on. Fly down to the switch and do a ground-pound on it. In the cap places, (Winged, Metal, Transparent) there will be red-coins and that counts as a star if you collect all eight.

Right when you enter the castle there is a picture on the ground stand on it and look up and you will then have to jump on the box when you get to the sky level.

You must have 10 stars first. Go into the main room where you start in the castle. You should see light on the carpet. Move on the carpet and look up. Ta-the! You found the red wing cap switch!
