Ah, another person asked me this question. You cannot unlock Luigi or a multiplayer, although on one stage, he came close to it. That stage was Lethal Lava Land. Initially Miyamoto wanted two player co-op in Mario 64, probably to throw the game series back to it's roots. Hope this helps! -Bahhhhhhhhhhhhhnjo likes huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuney!

Well me too they asked me about luigi and I heard that you can be luigi if you have all the coins in the game and when you have them go to the big star do 64 laps around it then jump into the star but the problem that I don't know where do you have to run around (i don't mean that i don't know where it is there a little edge next to it i don't know if you have to run on the edge or next to it).

No, Luigi is not a playable character in Super Mario 64, neither is Multiplayer, it is a Single character, single player game. Lol. Just get every single star
