For Emulators, you can't use an Action Replay because they're designed to plug into the Nintendo 64. Most Emulators simply have a "Cheats" tab somewhere where you can enter the code to get the same effect. It will differ from emulator to emulator; your best bet is to either go on the emulator's web site (if it has one) or simply go in the Help file and search for it there.

In addition, you probably want GameShark more than Action Replay for this particular game.

Emulators should have a Gameshark, Action Replay, or some other cheat device installed whithin the program. If it doesn't, you don't have a good emulator. The best N64 emulator there is has to be Project 64. This has a Gameshark AND Action Replay device built in to the program.

(P.S.: If you do have PJ64 and can't find how to add cheats or activate them, go to the Change settings tab, then go to "Settings" and there should be a checkbox that says "disable advanced settings". Uncheck this box. Then you should be able to access the cheats menu and all of it's advantages.)
