Question for Xbox 360

The chances of getting the "Red Ring of Death" are highest on the first gen Xbox 360 (the white one) the Xbox 360 Elite kinda solved the problem but I believe it too can get the red ring of death. I think it was finally solved with the Xbox 360 Slim, because they added more fans and made the previous existing fans bigger, as what caused the red ring was over heating. In the Slim, they added a feature that automatically turns off the xbox if it is getting too hot, so as to protect it from getting the red ring.
In conclusion, I believe they have fixed the red ring in the later gens (I.e. 360 Slim) but the earlier gens are still prone to it if you game for long periods of time.
