How to Change the Screen Resolution

Note: Take note that you must also use the correct cable to enable high-definition output. For more information about the Xbox 360 cables, you may want to check this article.- Go to Settings tab, select System and select Console Settings
- Select Display then HDTV Settings
- Select the setting supported by your HDTV/ display. Optimal Resolution is the default selection when you use an HDMI cable. This allows the console and your TV to determine the best possible display.
If you selected an unsupported output setting, the screen will turn black. If there's no display within 10 seconds, the console will revert back to its original video setting.
