Best Tech Upgrades for Beginners

During the early stages of Watch Dogs: Legion when Tech Points are few and far between it is important that you make the right decisions when deciding what to spend them on. Tech Points can be spent on four different categories: Upgrades, Weapons, Gadgets, and Hacks and our Best Tech Upgrades for Beginners guide will set you on the right path in making sure you choose the ones that will help you most early in the game on your mission to dismantle the oppressive British government and discover who is behind the terrorist attacks.

1. AR Shroud

The first thing you should consider investing your Tech Points on is without doubt the AR Shroud ability. This particular ability allows you to hide the bodies of those you have taken down in plain sight by immediately rendering them invisible. The reason getting hold of this ability as soon as possible is so important is that it's almost impossible to infiltrate a location where people don't want you to be without taking down guards and leaving a behind a body that will alert guards of your presence.

2. Attract Hack

This is a great Hack to have either when you are sneaking into a location or just surveying it through hijacked cameras. The Attrack Hack will enable you to prime a trap, and then have it emit a spark to get the attention of any nearby guards who will then approach it to investigate. Once the enemy is within the radius of the trap you simply have to arm the device. The Attract Hack will save you a lot of time as you wiil be able to lure enemies to traps instead of having to wait for them to wander past. This Hack is particularly effective at eliminating a number of enemies in one go that are in your way.

3) Drone and Turret Deactivations

Drone and Turret Deactivation Hacks are worth the price. In most scenarios when you need to employ stealth to complete an objective you will find that the various drones and turrets that have been set up by the enemy for security will get in your way. If you have the Combat Drone Deactivation, Chase Drone Deactivation, Turret Deactivation and their deriatives you will be able to quietly deactivate non-human enemies. Try to buy each of the disabling upgrades for these Hacks at least once to begin with as they will help you survive and then later in the game upgrade each of them twice more. The second upgrade allows you to hijack a drone or turret, while the third upgrade lets you turn the drone against your enemies.
