Watch Dogs: Legion is an open-world action-adventure third-person video game that is the third installment in the Watch Dogs series. The game is set within a fictionalised representation of a future London which has been transformed into a dystopian surveilance state after a series of terrorist attacks that have brought the capital of England to its knees. DedSec, the hacking collective from the previous two Watch Dogs games are framed for the bombings that were simultaneosly triggered across London. This has turned public opinion against them forcing its members to operate in secret as they try to find the perpetrators of these attacks.
Unlike the first two games in the Watch Dogs series, you don't play as a set character, instead you have the choice between a pool of operatives, each with their own skill sets, weapons, gadgets and styles. You also have the ability to recruit any non playing character that walks the streets of London and add them to your team of DedSec operatives and then swap them at any point in the game. In order to recruit an operative you are required to complete one or more tasks which take the form of side missions. The campaign missions themselves must be completed to progress in the game and they can be done so in many different ways and will ultimately depend on the recruit you choose to undertake each with.
