How to unlock all Bond Episodes

Scarlet Nexus is an action-JRPG from Bandai Namco iset on a post-apocalyptic "brain punk" future where technology and psychic abilities collide. Bond levels with your allies play a significant role not only in getting to know them better but to further increase their combat capacity as well. In this guide, we will discuss how to unlock all Bond Episodes for all characters in the game.

What are Bond Episodes

Bond Episodes are unlocked automatically as you progress through the story. Bond Episodes are only available in certain Standby Phases; fortunately, none are missable so in case you forgot to view a Bond Episode, you just have to wait until the next standby phase. However, it is highly recommended to view bond episodes as soon as they become available since you’ll have the chance to increase your allies’ bond levels and further improve their SAS powers at your disposal.

Both Kasane and Yuito have different interactions with the characters in the game in their respective playthroughs. As such, the bond episodes for their initial allies and those who will later join them will be different. Default/initial party members will have 5 episodes while those who will join later will have 4 episodes only. All bond episodes will become available on the last Standby Phase (Standby Phase 11)

Aside from the obvious benefits of viewing bond episodes, there are also achievements/trophies that can only be unlocked after viewing the bond episodes of characters on both Yuito and Kasane’s playthroughs.

How to Activate Bond Episodes

When you see a character with a pink chain-like icon above their head, that means that the character has a Bond Episode available. Simply talk to him/her and select the Bond Episode option to start the episode.

The characters who are not part of your initial party will also send you Brain Messages and will invite you out. Simply replying to their messages will initialize the episode. You also need to look for the bond icon beside the sender’s name to know if the message will trigger the bond episode.

Yuito Bond Episodes

You can only view all of Yuito's 5 Bond Episodes in Kasane’s playthrough. Viewing all episodes will unlock the trophy/achievement “Shared Feelings”.

Kasane Episodes

You can only view all of Yuito's 5 Bond Episodes in Kasane’s playthrough. Viewing all episodes will unlock the trophy/achievement “A Line Beyond Time”.

Kyoka Bond Episodes

Viewing all episodes on both Yuito and Kasane’s playthroughs will unlock the trophy/achievement “My Past is Me, My Angst is Me”.
