Character Bond Levels (Team Kasane)

Scarlet Nexus is an action-JRPG from Bandai Namco iset on a post-apocalyptic "brain punk" future where technology and psychic abilities collide. Each character in the game aside from the protagonists Yuito and Kasane have unique SAS powers that you can activate in combat. These SAS Powers can be further improved by increasing your bond levels with your allies. The characters who will join you will depend on the main character you’ve decided to play as at the start of the game. In this guide, we will cover all SAS Powers of your teammates when you play as Kasane, and the bonus effects you get for reaching certain bond levels with them.

What is Bond?

As the name implies, Bond signifies your relationship with your teammates. Higher bond levels will further improve your allies’ respective SAS powers. These include higher recharge rate, prolonged active time, enhanced effects, etc. Your allies will also be able to trigger various automatic assist “Vision” actions ranging from automatically blocking an attack for you, providing powerful assist strikes that can knock down enemies, or follow-up attacks dealing high damage.

To increase your bond with your teammates, give them Gifts while in the hideout, especially during standby phases. Don’t forget to view their bond episodes; some can be triggered by talking to the character inside the hideout while other episodes must be triggered by replying to the Brain Message screen. As you and teammates grow closer, more combat-oriented opportunities will become available to you.

Kasane’s Playstyle

Yuito and Kasane’s combat styles are very different, and the powers of the allies that will join them after going separate ways will complement their powers. Kasane excels at mid-range and mid-air attacks with her throwing weapons. Kyoka’s duplication boosts her psychokinesis damage output through additional hurled objects, Arashi’s hypervelocity slows down time, giving Kasane time to get into proper offensive or defensive position, Kagero’s invisibility to sneak towards or away from enemies, and Shiden’s electrokinesis. This allows Kasane to play it safe and attack as opportunity arises.

Kyoka Eden

Bond LV	SAS Effect	Description
1	Duplication	While SAS is active, one copy of the psychokinesis object is made. It is also easier to break shells with psychokinesis attacks during the effect.
2	Increase SAS Recovery Speed & Guardian Vision	Increases the recovery speed of the SAS duplication gauge. Also, when you're attacked, there's a chance for a Vision of Kyoka to appear and block the attack, negating the damage.
3	Duplication & Combo Vision	While SAS is active, you create duplicates of yourself that attack with you. Press [CTRL] + [F1][F2][F3][F4] or LB + B A X Y to trigger a Combo Vision with Kyoka, prompting her to attack from afar with duplicates.
4	Assault Vision	Attack an unguarded enemy and Kyoka will call out. Answer her using the displayed button prompt and she will appear as a Vision, performing a special attack.
5	Prolong SAS Effect & Extra Duplication	SAS duplication effect time increases. While the power is active, you can create one more duplicate of yourself.
6	Enhance Duplication	While the SAS is active, one more copy of a psychokinesis object is created. (A target gets hit by a PK object three times in a single hurl)

Shiden Ritter

Bond LV	SAS Effect	Description
1	Anti-Air Electrokinesis & Weapon Combo	While SAS is active, weapons and psychokinesis objects are covered in electricity that will deal increased damage, and added shock effect. Weapon combos generate sparks that can also damage flying enemies.
2	Electrification Circle & Guardian Vision	While SAS is active, use [C] or Y while on the ground for an electrification circle to retreat from enemies and deal high damage. If attacked, there’s a chance for Shiden to automatically block it.
3	Increase SAS Recovery Speed & Combo Vision	Increases recovery speed of SAS electrokinesis gauge. Using [CTRL] + [F1][F2][F3][F4] or LB + B A X Y enables a Combo Vision in which Shiden attacks his surroundings, including the sky.
4	Assault Vision	Attack an unguarded enemy and Shiden will call out. Answer him using the displayed button prompt and he will appear as a Vision and perform a special attack.
5	Prolong SAS Effect & Shock Negation	The time of the SAS electrokinesis effect is prolonged. Also, you recover from the shocked status and damage is negated during the effect.
6	Electric Flux Discharge & Enhance Shock	During SAS, unleash a powerful electric flux discharge on the 3rd aerial weapon combo attack, holding enemies in mid-air for a longer period. Damage increases even further with a weapon combo.

Kagero Donne

Bond LV	SAS Effect	Description
1	Invisibility & Backstab	Enemies won’t detect you and certain attacks will be critical hits during SAS. Hold [C] or Y to charge and release to do a Backstab for big crush damage. Effect is nullified if you attack or take damage.
2	Increase SAS Recovery Speed & Guardian Vision	Increases the recovery speed of the SAS invisibility gauge.
3	Sustained Invisibility & Combo Vision	While SAS is active, invisibility will continue shortly even after attacking. Using [CTRL] + [F1][F2][F3][F4] or LB + B A X Y enables a Combo Vision in which Kagero charges down foes.
4	Assault Vision	Attack an unguarded enemy and Kagero will call out. Answer him using the displayed button prompt and he will appear as a Vision and perform a special attack.
5	Prolong SAS Effect	SAS invisibility effect time increases.
6	Sustained Invisibility & Critical Invisibility	The amount of time you can remain invisible after hitting with an attack increases. When Kagero is in the party, there's a chance for SAS Invisibility to automatically activate when your HP goes below 30%.

Arashi Spring

Bond LV	SAS Effect	Description
1	Velocity	While the SAS is active, you can move at hypervelocity and time seems to slow down around you. The effect is broken if you're damaged.
2	Increase SAS Recovery Speed & Guardian Vision	Increases the recovery speed of the SAS hypervelocity gauge. Also, when you're attacked there's a chance for a Vision of Arashi to appear and block the attack, negating the damage.
3	Combo Vision	Using [CTRL] + [F1][F2][F3][F4] or LB + B A X Y enables a Combo Vision in which Arashi continuously attacks while pressing forward.
4	Assault Vision	Attack an unguarded enemy and Arashi will call out. Answer her using the displayed button prompt and she will appear as a Vision and perform a special attack.
5	Prolong SAS Effect	SAS hypervelocity effect time increases.
6	Psychokinesis Re-Acceleration	While SAS is active, the hypervelocity gauge charges a little bit every time a PK follow-up attack hits.
