Achievement Guide

Thank you for printing this page from www.SuperCheats.com.Remember to come back to check for updates to this guide and much more content for Scarlet Nexus

Last Updated:

Scarlet Nexus is an action-JRPG from Bandai Namco iset on a post-apocalyptic "brain punk" future where technology and psychic abilities collide. The game has 53 trophies/achievements that can be obtained by completing the playthroughs for both protagonists, Kasane and Yuito. In our achievement guide, we will be discussing how to unlock all trophies or achievements. .

Approx time to platinum/ unlock all achievements: 60-80 hours
Total Achievements: Offline: 53, Online: 0
Missable Achievements None
Glitched Achievements None
Minimum playthroughs required 2 (one for each protagonist)

Important Reminders:

* After finishing the game once, keep your cleared save file in a separate location. Do not overwrite this cleared save!

* You’re required to complete two playthroughs, one for each protagonist. It doesn’t matter which character you start as.

* Each character has their own set of quests so try to complete all quests tied to their playthrough.

* Even if you have started a second playthrough on a different character, make sure that you still keep a separate set of save files from your initial playthrough. That will allow you to do some cleanup for the remaining achievements/trophies later.

* There’s no trophy/achievement tied to the game’s difficulty so even if you set the game on Easy on your first playthrough or maintained Normal difficulty on EX New Game, you’ll still be able to unlock all trophies/achievements.

There are trophies/achievements that are tied to the bond episodes of characters. Initial party members will have 5 bond episodes while those who will join later will have 4 bond episodes. Bond episodes with initial party members are triggered by talking to them while inside the hideout while the first few episodes of the other party members are activated by responding to their respective Brain Messages.

None of the bond episodes is missable so just in case you weren’t able to view a bond episode earlier, you can still view it on the next standby phase. However, we will still suggest viewing the bond episodes as soon as they’re available to just get them out of the way.

Each character will have a select set of allies and characters that will be part of their team for a good part of the story. The other allies (including the second protagonist) will join your original party later in the story.

* Yuito’s initial allies: Hanabi, Tsugumi, Gemma, Luka

* Kasane’s initial allies: Arashi, Kyoka, Shiden, Kagero

For gift-related trophies, try to give all available Gifts to characters during your playthroughs. The game will only allow you to give Presents to the characters who will accept them so don’t worry about messing up and losing items in the process. For items that don't boost Bond levels (those without heart icons), you only need to give them once to your allies. Once a gift has been to the character, the character’s portrait will have a check on it. Use that indicator to know if you have already given the said gift to the character or not.

Trophy / Achievement List

Here’s the list of all trophies/achievements you can unlock in the game. We will provide additional descriptions and unlocking methods for achievements that will require them. Straightforward and obvious achievements will be left as is. Kindly use CTRL+F to easily find the specific achievements you’re looking for.

Companionship

Reached Bond Level 6 with an ally.

Refer to the “Tightly Wound Bond” trophy/achievement description below.

Tightly Wound Bond

Reached Bond Level 6 with all allies.

You can reach Bond Level 6 with allies by using them in battle, and giving them Gifts. You can give them multiple gifts at a time but try to give them gifts with the solid red heart icon since these are their favorite items and will give them the highest amount of Bond boost. If these are not available, you can still give them gifts with a small pale heart, indicating that they like the item. Gifts without a heart icon can still be given to them but will only provide them with a miniscule Bond boost.

For more information about Gifts, you can follow our dedicated Gift List guide for all characters.

https://www.supercheats.com/scarlet-nexus-walkthrough-guide/character-gift-list

Gifts

Gave a gift to an ally for the first time. *Does not include add-ons.

Please refer to “Gift-Giving Freak” below.

Gift-Giving Freak

Gave all Gifts to all allies. *Does not include add-ons.

You’re only required to give at least one type of gift when working on this trophy/achievement. If a character has already received a gift once, the item will have a check mark. Use this indicator to know which items you haven’t given to a character yet.

Unlocking this trophy will take a second playthrough since there are different types of Gifts on Yuito and Kasane's playthroughs. You also need to give the other protagonist his/her own gifts. So for example, if you're playing as Kasane, you'll be able to give Yuito gifts and vice versa.

Almost all Gifts will come from the shop’s Exchange. As the story progresses, more Exchange items will become available. At Standby Phase 11, all gift items should be available via exchange.

For more information about gifts, you can follow our dedicated Gift List guide for all characters.

Kins Millionaire

Collected over 200 thousand kins.

To unlock this trophy, you need to have 200k money at any one time. So for example, if you have 150,000 kins on hand but you’ve earned and spent 50,000 kins earlier, the trophy will not unlock since you only have 150K.

It’s manageable to reach this amount of money in a single playthrough, especially if you’re not spending that much money buying consumables and only equip characters with Exchanged weapons and items. Equipping the Special Mission Pay Bonus plug-in and the DLC item Special Bonus Contract (if you have the latter) will further increase your money gained by a total of 10%. I can’t confirm yet if equipping two Special Mission Pay Bonus plug-ins will stack the bonus effects.

If you're also desperate, you can farm for materials, exchange Visual Attachments, then sell those attachments for more money.

The Place Beyond the Pain

Used the SAS over 100 times.

This trophy can be unlocked over time as you keep using your allies’ SAS powers.

Master of the Psionic Space

Finished off 50 enemies with the Brain Field.

This power is unique to Kasane and Yuito and will be unlocked as you progress through the story. Once the Brain Field icon is lit up (right above the Brain Drive gauge), Kasane and Yuito will transport everyone to a dimensional field with enhanced powers and abilities. To unlock this trophy, you’ll need to use this power often and finish off enemies within it, either by using normal means or using Brain Crush.

You can get the Brain Field-related powers in your Brain Map to improve its duration and or use the Brain Field Gear consumable, which will allow you to trigger this power without waiting for it to charge up.

Guide Image

Other Nemesis

Used the Brain Crush on Others 20 times.

You’ll unlock this trophy naturally while playing the game. Brain Crush is the easiest way to finish off enemies while some enemies like bosses can only be defeated using this method.

Power of Observation

Successfully performed 20 perfect dodges.

Perfect Dodges are much easier done with Tsugumi’s SAS Power “Clairvoyance” active. Otherwise, you’ll need to learn to identify the enemies’ attack patterns and properly time your evasion at the last moment to trigger a perfect dodge.

Mighty Soldier

Defeated 1,000 enemies.

You’ll earn this naturally as you play though you may need to grind a bit, especially if you’re not farming or grinding that much. If you’re attempting to get a platinum trophy or unlock all achievements in the game, I recommend finishing the two playthroughs first; if you failed to unlock this trophy by then, keep revisiting the last map and farm kills until you get this trophy.

Seasoned Psychokinesis User

Performed 50 successful Special Object Follow-Up Attacks.

Special Objects are the environmental objects that you can manipulate using LT/L2 (for the Xbox/PS4 that can be thrown to the enemy to deal massive damage and apply additional effects. For example, throwing a group of water barrels to a target will damage it and cause the Flood status, making it vulnerable to follow-up electrokinesis attacks. You’ll need to do at least a couple of weapon attacks before activating a special object for it to be considered part of the combo. Do this 50 times to unlock the trophy/achievement.

Receiver of Protection

Initiated Assault Visions 20 times.

Assault Visions are unlocked by reaching Bond LV4 with the characters. Once unlocked, these are activated randomly after attacking an unguarded enemy. The ally will call out and a button combination will appear in the lower-middle portion of the screen. Press V (on the PC) / Y+B on the Xbox / Triangle + Circle to activate an assault vision. This will make the corresponding character temporarily appear on the screen and perform a powerful attack on the target.

If you have learned the “Brain Drive: Consecutive Assault Vision” skill from the Brain Map, you’ll be able to perform consecutive assault visions while Brain Drive is active. You should be able to unlock this trophy/achievement naturally as long as you raise your characters’ bond levels as soon as possible.

Power of Nexus

Activated 4 different Combo Visions in 1 combo.

Combo Visions are unlocked at Bond LV3 with an ally. To perform a combo vision, you have to do the following button combinations to summon the corresponding ally and perform a powerful attack to the target.

* PC: [CTRL] + [F1][F2][F3][F4]

* XBOX: LB + B / A / X / Y

* PS4: L1 + X, Square, Triangle, Circle

A Combo vision will require at least 60% of the character’s SAS gauge to activate. You can even call in characters that you don’t have currently deployed in your active party. Simply perform a combo vision 4 consecutive times to get this trophy/achievement.

Expanded Brain Functionality

Learned all the skills in one of the Brain Map categories.

There are 5 categories in the Brain Map. Your character will start with the default 3 categories (Enhance, Expand, Support). Two more categories, Brain Drive and Brain Field) are automatically added as you continue with the story. Since you only need to learn all skills in one category to unlock this achievement/trophy, you can focus on the Enhance Skill Tree first since it only has 10 skills. Not only that, each of those skills will greatly improve your combat capability.

Guide Image

Owner of an Excellent Brain

Learned all the skills on the Brain Map.

To get enough BP to learn all skills, your character needs to reach LV80. If you have purchased the Deluxe Edition of the game, you can use the Special Contract Plug-In to get +5% EXP and Kin boost. Later in the game, you’ll also be able to get the Combat Experience Assist plug-in that also provides +5% EXP gain only. I don’t know yet if two CEA’s effects stack or if SCP and CEA effects stack.

The best area to grind in the game is Sumeragi Tomb - Memories of Impasse. You can get around 220,000 EXP here, without the multipliers. If you’re able to keep your Brain Drive and Brain Field active most of the time, you’ll be able to maintain the x1.5 and x1.8 multipliers regularly. Additionally, you can also consider getting skills and plug-ins that accelerates brain drive accumulation, prolonging the brain field duration, etc. For more information about farming EXP, please check our dedicated EXP Farming guide for more information.

Brain Field Expert

Raised the EXP bonus to the maximum.

The maximum EXP bonus multiplier you can get is 1.8 and this is only achievable when using Brain Field. With the Brain Field charge and Brain Drive active, continue pummeling enemies while on Brain Drive to raise the multiplier to 1.5. Before brain drive ends, activate Brain Field and continue your onslaught to reach 1.8. Since your time in Brain Field is very limited, try to attempt this on tougher (non-boss) enemies.

Collector

Used Item Exchange for the first time. *Does not include add-ons.

Please see “Collection Freak” below.

Collection Freak

Exchanged 100 types of items at shops. *Does not include add-ons.

Basically, you’ll need to craft/exchange 100 different types of items via Item Exchange. New exchange items become available as you progress in the story, with all available items that can be exchanged fully available on Standby Phase 11.

Everyone's Ally

Completed a quest for the first time.

Please see “Heroic OSF” below.

Heroic OSF

Completed 30 quests.

Kasane and Yuito have different sets of quests in their respective playthroughs. New quests will become available almost every standby phase, with the NPC quest-givers normally located in safe/neutral locations like Suoh City, Seiran City, OSF Hospital, and Musubi. When visiting these locations, you just need to open your map and look for the diamond icons. These are indicators that will lead you to the quest givers. None of the quests are missable so if you think you’re missing a few, you can talk to the quest giver NPC during the next standby phase.

Guide Image

Suppressor of All Enemies

Completed the Enemy Compendium. *Does not include add-ons.

You’ll encounter all enemy types as you with the story. Since Kasane and Yuito will encounter different variations of enemies on their respective playthroughs, you’ll need to clear both of their stories to fully unlock all compendium entries.

Link Expert

Activated all Combo Visions

Combo Visions are manually activated abilities that are unlocked as Bond LV3. There are 9 allies apart from the main character and 8 SAS slots. Equip and activate each character’s Combo Visions. The other protagonist’s combo vision seems to be considered as a separate instance so for example you’re playing as Yuito, Kasane’s Combo Vision is counted as a separate instance for this trophy so you have to play as Kasane in another playthrough (EX New Game) and activate Yuito’s combo vision there to unlock this trophy.

Helping Hand

Revived by an ally for the first time.

When your HP is depleted, normally it will take you to the Game Over screen. However, if your bond level with your allies is high enough (as well as the Team Bond Level), an ally may automatically revive you instead. This is triggered by chance and if you’re not playing on Easy, you’re most likely to get knocked out a handful of times.

Guide Image

Trusted Ally

Initiated a guardian vision for the first time.

This ability becomes unlocked at Bond Lv2. This is a feature that allows your ally to step in and block an incoming attack for you, protecting you from damage. The activation is random but since you’ll be fighting a lot anyway, you’re most likely to unlock this trophy as you play.

You Are Not Alone

Saved inside the Brain Field for the first time.

As the tutorial mentioned, Brain Field puts the user’s brain under extensive stress so you can’t stay in that mode for long - otherwise, your brain will break and it will be game over. When in Brain Field at around 15 to 5 seconds remaining on the timer, your character will exhibit debilitating headaches. During this time, an ally may randomly come to your aid and extend the brain field’s timer. This is random so while working on this, keep activating the brain field regularly and stay there as long as you can until this occurrence is triggered.

Fierce Psychokinesis User

Threw 100 objects with psychokinesis.

Psychokinesis attacks or PK attacks for short are part of the game’s core combat. As such, you’ll be able to unlock this trophy/achievement as you play.

Cunning Brain Smash

Defeated 3 enemies at the same time with Brain Crush.

To attempt this trophy, it’s better to have learn the Brain Crush Chance Expand skill that increases the vulnerable time to execute a brain crush. It’s better to target “softer” enemies that you can deplete the crush gauges immediately like Pool-type enemies or the Base Paws enemies (but will require Arashi’s hypervelocity to execute). They should also be located relatively near each other so when you activate brain crush, all of them are executed at once.

Friendship

Revived allies 5 times

When your ally falls, the other AI ally or you can revive him/her. Reviving your allies can be interrupted by enemy attacks so use Gemma’s Sclerokinesis or Arashi's Hypervelocity to increase your chances of successfully reviving your ally. If they seem to be too sturdy or careful that they don’t get knocked out often, you can set their strategy to Fight to the Brink to make them as aggressive as possible.

Fashion Debut

Changed your Visual Equipment for the first time. *Does not include add-ons.

Please refer to “Fashionista” below.

Fashionista

Collected 100 attachments. *Does not include add-ons.

Since visual attachment also use valuable materials needed to exchange for Gifts, I recommend crafting all available gifts first before making visual attachments. New attachments become available in the shop’s Exchange tab every standby phase. Some additional attachments are given as quest rewards or found on various maps. You need to buy at least one of each attachment type to unlock this trophy/achievement.

Scarlet Guardian

Completed Phase 0.

Story-related; complete the tutorial to unlock this.

Conclusion of Millenia

Finished the last battle against Karen.

Story-related; obtain this trophy/achievement after defeating Karen in final showdown.

Collecting Fragments of History

Started a New Game+ with a different main character after beating the game.

After clearing the game once, you’ll be asked to save the cleared data. Do so and you can use that cleared save data to start EX New Game. When you start an EX New Game+, select a different protagonist from the last one you’ve played.

Red Strings for Two

Reached the ending of both Yuito's and Kasane's story.

It doesn’t matter which of the two you’ll start with; you just need to complete the second playthrough with a different character to get this trophy/achievement.

One Lost in Madness

Ran out of time in Brain Field.

Deliberately let the timer run out while in Brain Field. You can’t do this the first time the brain field was activated as part of the story since the game will force you to end the brain field mode automatically.

Protect!

Stopped in front of the OSF poster in the hideout.

In Yuito’s playthrough (Standby Phase 9) and Kasane’s (Standby Phase 2), you will see an OSF poster in the training area. Simply stand in front of this poster for a few seconds until you unlock it.

Knowledge of the Past

Collected all Mysterious Text Data.

Please refer to our dedicated guide for finding all Mysterious Text Data.

Baki-s

Everyone wore Baki heads.

The Baki Head visual attachment will become available automatically in the Shop’s exchange. You need to keep swapping the Baki heads between party members. You don’t need to buy a Baki head for each of your allies.

Wheels Gone Wild

Defeated 5 enemies with 1 bus.

You can find several buses on the Kunad Highway. You can activate it as a special object. Once you’re riding on the roof of the bus, control it manually so you can run over on the enemies along the path.

Guide Image

Suoh Incident

The Suoh Incident occurred./em]

You’ll unlock the trophy after completing Phase 4 on either Yuito or Kasane’s playthroughs

One Will

Gathered all party members./em]

This trophy is story-related so you can’t miss it. Later around the end of Phase 9, the other set of characters will join your party.

That concludes our Trophy/Achievement Guide in Scarlet Nexus. Please check out our other pages related to the game for more Scarlet Nexus content.
