The Dark Forest (Bronze)

[CAMPAIGN] Clear Casual difficulty or higher.

This is the easiest difficulty. You get lesser enemies, more ammo and supplies. The enemies will deal little damage so you’ll be able to survive take a lot of hits before dying. However, some monsters still have the ability to kill you instantly.

The Shores of Purgatory (Silver)

[CAMPAIGN] Clear Normal difficulty or higher.

This is the default difficulty. You get just the right number of enemies, ammo and supplies. The enemies will deal average damage so you’ll be able to survive 3-4 hits before dying. However, some monsters still have the ability to kill you instantly.

The Vestibule of Hell (Gold)

[CAMPAIGN] Clear Infernal difficulty.

In this mode, you’ll encounter more enemies while having less ammo and herbs, enemies will have more health and deal more damage. It is generally recommended to finish the game first in Normal then start Infernal in New Game+ so you can keep your weapons and custom parts.

Surviving Deep Darkness (Silver)

[CAMPAIGN] Clear the game in Normal difficulty or above without dying once.

Dodging is a good way to avoid damage and save your green herbs. However, if you did die, the game will ask you if you want to continue or not. Select “No” and you’ll be taken back to the main menu. Select “Continue” and you’ll start to the last saved point.

First Victim (Bronze)

[CAMPAIGN] Scan 1 hidden hand print.

Refer to this guide’s Handprint Locations section.

Traces of Tragedy (Bronze)

[CAMPAIGN] Scan 15 hidden hand prints.

Refer to this guide’s Handprint Locations section.

Last Victim (Bronze)

[CAMPAIGN] Scan 30 hidden hand prints.

Refer to this guide’s Handprint Locations section. Take note that if you have already scanned a handprint, it won’t be there the next time you scan the same exact location again in New Game+.

Researcher (Bronze)

[CAMPAIGN] Scan an enemy for the first time.

You’ll get this as part of the story, when you’re using the Genesis scanner for the first time.

Research Complete (Bronze)

[CAMPAIGN] Scan all enemy types.

This is a missable trophy since there are certain enemies that just appear in specific areas of the game and some of them disintegrates so fast that it will be a great idea to scan them while they’re still alive.

Here’s the list of enemies and descriptions on how you can identify them:

Ooze: Standard and the most common enemy you’ll find

Ooze Tricorne: This is the ranged ooze that fires projectiles.

Ooze Pincer: An upgraded ooze with spiked claws

Globster: Moving blob found on the beach

Wall Blister: These are large balls of meat that are hanging on the walls. If you get near, they’ll drop down and reveal their arms and legs.

Fenrir: These are the wolf-like BOWs you’ll encounter in the snowy areas.

Scarmiglione: This is the knight-like enemy wielding a mutated sword and shield. If you destroy the upper part of its body, it’s lower half will reveal an electric organ, waving it around. If you managed to destroy its lower half, it turns into an aggressive, crawling beast.

Draghignizzo: This is the large brute of a monster that you’ll fight in the Observation Deck.

Hunter: This is the green, scaled enemy with large claws.

Farfarello: These are the hunters that can turn invisible

Ghiozzo: This is the fast, mutated fish

Malacoda: The giant, worm-like parasites. Only available to scan in Episode 11

Rachael: She is the infected FBC agent that was killed by two oozes in the bilge.

Scagdead: The large, twin-headed and chainsaw-wielding enemy

Sea Creeper: A water-based enemy that resembles a giant cockroach

Jack Norman: Last Boss

B.O.W. Hunter (Bronze)

[CAMPAIGN] Defeat 150 enemies.

This will appear naturally as you course through the game.

Living on the Edge (Bronze)

[CAMPAIGN] Stop an enemy bullet with your knife.

To get this trophy, you have to stop the projectile the Ooze Tricorne is firing. Just hold R1 while the Tricorne is aiming at you. This is best done by clearing all enemies in the area and leaving that tricorne alone so you can concentrate on slashing its projectile at the right time.

By the Crosshairs (Bronze)

[CAMPAIGN] Defeat Rachael before she gets to the cafeteria.

Near the end of Chapter 4, you’ll encounter the infected Rachel. You have 4 chances to kill her before she reaches the cafeteria/ diner. She’ll retreat to a nearby duct every time you deal serious damage to her. Evade her attacks whenever you can since getting knocked down by her attacks will waste precious seconds of pumping lead to her. Like the other BOWs, her weakness is her head.

The chance where you’ll have to deal with her is through the stairs just outside the bilge infirmary. The second chance is inside the crew quarter’s shower room. She’ll appear from behind so don’t get caught off guard. The third chance is the corridor right outside the crew quarters and the last chance is the corridor right after the staircase, outside the detention room.

If you fail to kill her by this time, you’ll have to repeat the chapter again. If you continue having difficulties killing her, it may help attempting this trophy in New Game+, Easy Mode. One effective tactic is using grenades to stun her while she’s retreating to give you more time to shoot her before she fully retreats. However, this will mean not using any grenades during the annoying Scagdead boss fight in Chapter 3 which can prove really tough.

Bamboozle the Oozes (Bronze)

[CAMPAIGN] Defeat 10 Oozes with headshots.

The problem in getting this trophy is that you’ll find the headshot animations not true at all times. You must kill the enemy by shooting at its head only and sometimes, a missed shot on any part of the target’s body will invalidate the attempt. The best way to ensure that you’ll get your headshots counted is by using sniper rifles on Tricornes since they stay still when aiming and shooting at you.

Die Another Day (Bronze)

[CAMPAIGN] Evade a Scagdead's instant-death attack.

The Scagdead is a large, stout BOW with a saw on its arm. Its signature “insta-death” attack is when it catches you with its large mouth and cuts you open with its saw. The first one you’ll encounter is during the last part of Chapter 3. You can attempt getting the trophy there but you have to single it out from the infinite supply of normal BOWs.

This trophy requires proper timing. Stand in front of the Scagdead and wait for it to start shaking its mouth. Evade as soon as the mouth lunges forward to grab you and the trophy should pop up a few moments later.

Triple Play (Bronze)

[CAMPAIGN] Defeat 3 enemies with one shock grenade.

Shock grenades deal great damage to water-type enemies, especially the Creepers and infected fishes. One good time to attempt this is during Chapter 5, in the flooded area. This is where you have to turn off the steam from pipes to get around the engine room. You’ll eventually reach a large cog gear on the wall along the walkway and stairs going down the flooded floor below.

There are infected fishes and creepers lurking in the water. What you want to do is to run past them to reach the stairs in the far end of the room. At the end of that stairs is a wooden crate. Break it open and you’ll find a shock grenade inside. If you got the attention of at least three mutated fishes, they should follow you to the stairs; wait for them to group up and throw the grenade to kill them all.

If you failed to lured enough fishes, just run back to the flooded room and attempt another run to lure them.

A Packaged Deal (Bronze)

[CAMPAIGN] Defeat a Scarmiglione as a whole without killing both parts of its body separately.

This is a knight-like enemy that carries a sword and shield. You’ll first encounter one in the sterilization chamber of the laboratory. This enemy is actually made up of two parts; if you dealt massive damage to the upper half its body, the lower half will remain, with a swaying, electric limb. If you destroyed its lower half, the upper half will crawl fast on the floor and will attempt to jab you.

The easiest way to get this trophy is by using an rocket launcher. You can get one during the escape sequence in Chapter 7 in the cargo hold, right after you get past the Scagdead. If you missed it during this time, you can still get it at the start of Chapter 8, as soon as you exit the comms room. You have to aim and shoot the floor where the Scarmiglione is standing to ensure that the splash damage damages both upper and lower halves of its body.

In case you didn’t get the RPG, you can still attempt this trophy as long as you have a sniper rifle (or a really, high-powered magnum). Shoot its legs to stagger it and lower its guard then quickly place a headshot to kill it.

Rockets are for Losers (Bronze)

[CAMPAIGN] Defeat a Malacoda without using a rocket launcher.

The Malacodas are the giant worm-like parasites you’ll fight in Chapter 11. During the fight, your rescue helicopter will drop rocket launchers from crates. Simply ignore these and kill them using your regular weapons.

Note: If the trophy didn’t pop out after killing one, you’ll probably have to kill the remaining malacodas for the trophy to appear. I haven’t tried unlocking the trophy by killing one with normal weapons then killing the remaining malacodas using the rocket launchers.

Note 2: Depending on your ammo supply, you may want to repeat the chapter after getting the trophy so you won’t be dry on ammo when you start the next chapter.

The Pool Is Open (Bronze)

[CAMPAIGN] Swim in the Solarium.

As soon as you enter the Main Hall in Chapter 3, make your way to the third floor and find the passage leading to the Solarium. There will be signage outside that hallway so you won’t get lost. The pool will be contaminated with mutated barnacles so you won’t be able to swim immediately. Enter the only accessible room ahead (where you’ll also find a handprint, custom part and a M401A Sniper Rifle) and activate the water filtration system. Then in Chapter 4, return to the Solarium to find the pool cleaned. Dive to the water and the trophy will unlock.

Note: The Solarium is a “missable” area that holds no significance in the story. It holds a lot of valuable items and ammo.

Dodge Master (Bronze)

[CAMPAIGN] Dodge 20 times.

Simply anticipate and dodge incoming enemy attacks. You can even as early as you can by letting a lone enemy attack you and dodge its every attack until your partner kills it. Repeat until you get the trophy.

Angry Fist (Bronze)

[CAMPAIGN] Land 10 fully charged physical attacks.

Once you stagger an enemy, get close and hold the melee attack button to charge at attack. Your character will automatically attack once he/she has fully charged. Do this successfully 10 times to unlock the trophy.

First Circle Traveler (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Clear all stages in Raid mode on Chasm.

Midland Traveler (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Clear all stages in Raid mode on Trench.

Seventh Circle Traveler (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Clear all stages in Raid mode on Abyss.

First Circle Overseer (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Clear all stages in Raid mode on Chasm with an S rank.

Midland Overseer (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Clear all stages in Raid mode on Trench with an S rank.

Seventh Circle Overseer (Silver)

[RAID MODE] Clear all stages in Raid mode on Abyss with an S rank.

Beyond the Veil (Gold)

[RAID MODE] Clear the bonus stage, The Ghost Ship.

This is recommended once your character is fairly high-leveled and when you have high-powered weapons in your disposal. Playing it with a partner is recommended as well to make things a lot manageable. This stage will have early exits which you should ignore as it will not count towards the trophy. Just keep going through the stage until you reach the bow of the ship where you have to defeat waves of enemies before the stage exit emblem appears.

On Your Way (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Reach player level 5.

Refer to “Top of my Game” trophy for details.

Moving on Up (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Reach player level 10.

Refer to “Top of my Game” trophy for details.

Reaching Higher (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Reach player level 20.

Refer to “Top of my Game” trophy for details.

Raising the Bar (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Reach player level 30.

Refer to “Top of my Game” trophy for details.

Meteoric Rise (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Reach player level 40.

Refer to “Top of my Game” trophy for details.

Top of My Game (Silver)

[RAID MODE] Reach player level 50.

As you progress in Raid Mode, you’ll earn experience to level up your character. More experience is awarded for getting a higher rank, playing a stage in its recommended level and acquiring bonuses. You can repeat a stage over and over again and still keep the rewards for it. Playing with a partner will help you clear a stage faster and allow you to kill enemies more efficiently.

One for Each Minnesota Lake (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Defeat 10,000 enemies.

This may take a while to complete. The fastest way to rake kills for this trophy specifically is by replaying a chapter in a low difficulty setting and wielding high-powered weapons for 1-2 shot kills.

That'll Leave a Mark (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Inflict 100,000 points of damage to an enemy in one hit.

When you’re high-leveled and you have access to a similarly-leveled magnum or sniper rifle, equip it with Charge Shot/ Critical Hit and Damage+ upgrades, then replay the first stage on Chasm. Land a headshot and you should be able to deal 100K damage or above.

Dynamic Duo (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Land a fully charged physical attack on an enemy at the same time as your partner.

This requires precise timing with your partner. After the enemy is stunned, get up close and press and hold the melee button at the same time to charge. If done correctly, both of you should release your fully-charged attacks at the same time.

Legendary Find (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Obtain a super rare weapon.

Refer to “Legends Are Made, Not Born” trophy

Legends Are Made, Not Born (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Obtain all super rare weapons.

There are three super rare weapons you’ll find in Raid Mode: Pale Rider, Drake and Muramasa. The Pale Rider can be found rarely in the weapon shop at fairly high levels. The Drake and Muramasa can be acquired as an extremely rare item from blowfish enemies you’ll encounter in the stages or just scouring random items.

Alternately, you can head over to www.residentevil.net to sign up and link your PSN ID. You can then select the Present Code section use the codes below:

Drake: raymond

Pale Rider: bioterrorism

Muramasa: originaleleven

After using the codes, send them to your game by following the options in the website. Now start your game while logged in to PSN and you’ll see the weapons listed after your game checks residentevil.net. You’ll get the trophy afterward.

Shop 'til Ya Drop (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Spend 1,000,000 BP in the store.

You’ll earn BP after completing a stage. You’ll earn more by completing bonuses and shooting BP emblems hidden in each stage. You can also sell duplicate weapons and custom parts, as well as low level weapons as you level up your character.

The Unbroken Thread (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Acquire No Damage Bonus for the first time.

This is easily acquired in the first stage of Chasm difficulty. In case you get hit, repeat the stage again until you memorize the enemy spawn points until you get this bonus and trophy.

Gutsy (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Clear a stage at 5 levels lower than the recommended level.

It is easier to do this with a partner. If you’re going solo, wait until you gain a few levels first, manually lower your character level then enter a stage 5 levels below the recommended level. For example, you’re level 10, modify your level to LV5 then attempt a LV10 stage. That will allow you to keep your character upgrades and your high-powered weapons will just be nerfed down enough to match your level.

Three is the Magic Number (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Acquire Trinity Bonus for the first time.

There are four bonuses you can earn each stage:

Genocide: Kill every enemy in a stage.

No Damage: Take no damage at all during a stage

Low Level : Complete a level lower than the recommended level

Holy Trinity: Get the three above bonuses.

You don’t need to count the Holy Trinity bonus for this trophy. The best stage to attempt this is during chapter 1, at LV1 character level. The stage is very short and there just a handful of enemies so it is quite easy to get all bonuses without too much fuss.

Bonus Enthusiast (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Acquire 10 bonuses.

Refer to “Bonus Demi-God” trophy for more details

Bonus Ace (Bronze)

[RAID MODE] Acquire 50 bonuses.

Refer to “Bonus Demi-God” trophy for more details

Bonus Legend (Silver)

[RAID MODE] Acquire 100 bonuses.

Refer to “Bonus Demi-God” trophy for more details

Bonus Demi-god (Gold)

[RAID MODE] Acquire 150 bonuses.

There are four bonuses you can earn each stage:

Genocide: Kill every enemy in a stage.

No Damage: Take no damage at all during a stage

Low Level : Complete a level lower than the recommended level

Holy Trinity: Get the three above bonuses.

It will be better playing with a partner and completing the stages in Chasm or Trench difficulties.
