Old Friends

There are two yellow circles with letters that will be present in your radar in the lower-left corner of your screen. These are the locations of mission givers so you’ll have the choice which ones you want to tackle first. To start this mission, enter the small cabin nearby to trigger a cutscene. After the scene, you’ll be riding out with the rest of the gang.

Continue riding with the gang until you reach the abandoned mining camp where several members of the rival gang are hanging out. Follow Dutch to the vantage point to scout the camp. After scouting, head back to your horse and equip your carbine repeater.

Follow Dutch again as you head downhill. Once you reach the camp, crouch and continue following Dutch to a good location. Make sure that your carbine is equipped and ready. Get into position then you’ll have the choice whether to take the lead or send the gang to jump on them.

Either way, once the shooting starts, stay in cover and try to aim for headshots. Move from cover to cover. Your long arm is exceptionally steady and accurate so use that to your advantage. After clearing the camp, take your time looting the bodies of the dead and watch out for more ammo and items scattered around.

Shortly after, more enemies will appear from the south. From hereon, you’ll be able to use Dead Eye. This special mechanic slows down time and allow you to rapid, super-accurate shots. For now, you can automatically tag enemy body parts so enter Dead Eye mode and take out the enemies. After killing several of them, the remnants will cower and run away. Once clear, take your time scouring through each of the dead bodies and loot them.

Once you’re done looting, meet up with the others then search the marked building. There are consumables here so don’t forget to pick them up. To continue with the story, open the dynamite chest to recover a good number of dynamites.

Ride with your team until you eventually run into an O’Driscoll straggler. Equip your lasso from your weapon wheel and pursue the straggler. Once you’re in range, throw the lasso to pull him off his horse. Keep holding L2 then climb down your horse. Approach him then hogtie him. Loot some items off him then stow him on the back of your horse. Finally follow the mission marker to avoid getting lost back to the camp; mission complete.
