After settling in to your temporary camp, your real open-world experience can now begin. You can now manually save and also replay the previous chapter’s missions if you want to obtain the Gold ranking by meeting certain conditions. At this point, you’re free to explore the area, try out hunting, and more. However, I’ll suggest doing the first few story missions since they’ll unlock new permanent gameplay features that will make your life a lot easier.

Head to Valentine and go to the Saloon. Approach Javier and Charles by the counter, talking to some ladies. Shortly after Bill bumps into one of the patrons, a fistfight will erupt. You have no choice but to enter the brawl yourself. Defeat the first brawler by the saloon door then go to Bill’s aid. Remember to use provisions in case you need to replenish your HP core and gauge.

A big man named Tommy will go downstairs to join the rumble. Break free from the stranger who grabbed you from behind then attack Tommy to help Javier. You’ll be thrown outside the window and will have a mano-a-mano with Tommy in the street. Tommy is a hard hitter so don’t let his attacks land as much as possible. Brawling in this game is cumbersome so make sure to block his attacks then launch a counter attack.

Don’t be greedy with your punches since his counterattacks are enough to knock you down. It’s a good strategy to wait and block his punches before counterattacking. Mash the button to break free if he grabs you, then don’t hesitate to the do the same in case you get pinned to the ground. You won’t be able to beat him up completely since a stranger will break up the fight. After some cutscenes, the mission will be complete. Since you’re a mess, consider taking a bath from the nearby hotel or take a dip in the nearest pond or river.
