
Production Rooms can be Rushed to earn extra caps and instantly earn resources. Rushing a room completes its production cycle. So for example, a room has production cycle of two minutes, rushing it will instantly give you the resources it's supposed to generate in its normal cycle and its timer will restart at two minutes.
While this is a good way to earn caps early on, there's a Risk percentage accompanied for every Rush attempt. The risk percentage increases every time you Rush a room, regardless if the attempt failed or not. This prevents this mode from being abused. It is recommended not to rush if the risk is over 30%. It is also worth noting that placing dwellers with high SPECIAL stat that corresponds the room they're in significantly reduces the risk percentage. The risk percentage "cools down" over time.
Failed Rush attempts result to incidents like Fires, radroach infestation, or worst, molerat infestation. Make sure that your dwellers are properly armed and you have ample supplies of stimpacks to deal with the infestations. A miscalculated Rush can very well exterminate your dwellers due to uncontrolled infestation.
