Dweller Rarity

Your Dwellers are the key component of your vault. They level up over time while working in production rooms or when exploring the wasteland. Their maximum HP increases when they level up. You can also unlock additional room types by increasing your dweller's population. The number of dwellers your vault can accommodate can be increased by building additional Living Quarters and/ or upgrading them. When you're starting the game, new dwellers will arrive to your doorstep until you have a good working population.

There are three ways of adding new dwellers to your vault:

1. Mating

2. Send a broadcast via radio room

3. Get new ones from Lunchboxes.

Dwellers have three rarities. Common, Rare, and Legendary. Common dwellers have low level and SPECIAL Stats. Rare dwellers can be obtained from Lunchboxes and their card is colored blue. They have slightly higher SPECIAL stats and higher level to begin with. Rare dwellers come with better outfit as well. Legendary Dwellers have excellent SPECIAL stats and high level when you get them. Plus, you'll also get their signature outfit and weapon.

Rare and Legendary Dwellers can help a lot in your production rooms since they can easily change jobs while providing the much needed efficiency bonus. Since they also have better gear, they can deal with incidents reliably and they can also survive longer in the wasteland , allowing them to collect more items and CAPS for you.
