Added:

One of the more unique fighting mechanics found in the game is that of Z-Change, where you actually switch to one of your teammates while you are performing a Super Move. The first of two ways you can do is by pressing the Assist Button while your current fighter is performing their Super Move, causing their teammate to come in and perform their first Super Move. If you do this technique while holding back on the Control Stick, the teammate that switches in will perform their first Level 3 Super Move.

The second way to orchestrate a Z-Change is during a combo with your Point Fighter. If you perform a Half Circle Forward on the Control Stick and then press the Assist Button while performing a combo, the corresponding teammate will switch in and perform their Level 1 Super Move. Should you do the same thing but perform a Half Circle in the opposite direction with the Control Stick, the teammate that switches in with perform their Level 3 Super Move. No matter which way you choose to perform a Z-Change, the character you switch in will then be your active character once the Super Move is over.
