Action Skills Guide

In Borderlands 3, Amara the Siren, Zane the Operative, Moze the Gunner, and FL4K the Beastmaster, each have 3 differet Skill Trees that you can pick from. Each one of these Skill Trees will focus on a different aspect of the Vault Raider you selected. Check out our Action Skills Guide to find out what they are.

You will receive your first Action Skill once you have chosen a Skill Tree. An Action Skill is a unique move that will help you defeat the enemies on the battlefield. Action Skills do however come with a Cooldown Timer which prevents you from over using it. Skill points are earned when you complete the campaign missions and side missions. You can invest Skill Points in your chosen Skill Tree to unlock additional abilities. Each Vault Hunter can equip a different number of Action Skills and Action Skill Augments (listed below) giving you the opportunity to customise the Vault Rider you chose to suit your style of play.

Action Skill

Additional Action Skills from the various Skill Trees can be unlocked in Borderlands 3

Action Skill Augment

These will provide new features to your chosen Action Skill, this includes different forms of Elemental Damage

Kill Skill

Bonuses that only activate once you've killed an enemy

Passive Abilities

Bonuses and abilities you receive while fighting that don't have any requirements

Action Skill Element

Unique to Amara the Siren, these change the Elemental Damage her Action Skill cause

If you are unhappy with how your Vault Raider performs you can respec your Skill Points and Skill Trees by visiting a Quick Change Station. There at the bottom of the menu you will find an option to respec.
