Tied #5 - Lunatone

Probably the most sensical selection thus far, but with a title of Pokemon Moon, it would be a crime to not include a Pokemon based on that very thing. Lunatone has been waiting for three long Generations to be in the spotlight, and really, it would be weird if it included in a group of Mega Evolutions for the next generation.

Let's face it: Lunatone sucks as a Pokemon. It isn't as horrid as its counterpart Solrock, but it still is pretty darn bad. It has terrible statistics and a not so useful moveset. Again, it is far and away better than Solrok, but compared to the rest of the Pokemon World, it fall relatively short to the others.

With a Mega Evolution, we see a HUGE change in Lunatone. From one, we think it should drop its Psychic and Rock Typings and replace them with a Dark Typing. We also think it should then be given a duel typing of the Fairy Type. It would be a unique Pokemon and Mega Evolution all together, but it would resemble something as majestic and supernatural as the Moon perfectly.

From there, we see Lunatone receiving a huge boost to its Special Attack. It could also then receive smaller increases to its Defense and Special Defense Stats, even if it takes away from both its Attack and Speed Stat. Mega Lunatone would be a defensive beast with incredible Special Attacking Abilities. And with moves like Cosmic Power and Calm Mind, it could be even better. It would have horrible speed, but it must have at least one setback.

As for an ability, we think it too should be something unique. We don't know what you would call it, but Mega Lunatone would regain 10% HP every turn since it can't hold an item nor has the move Recover.
