10 Pokemon Sun and Moon Evolutions that Make Sense

#1 - Milotic

And here we are, the number one Pokemon that makes the most sense of receiving a Mega Evolution: Milotic. Now yes, Milotic doesn't quite fit the bill toward the themes of Pokemon Sun & Moon, but it, by far, was the Pokemon that SHOULD HAVE been included in Pokemon Omega RUby & Alpha Sapphire. It, along with Flygon, didn't make any sense as why they were left out. This was even more so for Milotic, since it could've been set up perfectly for Wallace's Final Pokemon. Milotic is also the sister to Gyarados (having the same stats just in different areas), and even it received a Mega Evolution.

Now it might now seem like a fit for Pokemon Sun & Moon, but Mega Milotic can easily be made to have at least some features that could justify it. For one, it could be a Duel Water / Fairy Type. Fairies might not be the first thing one thinks about when they picture the Sun or Moon, but it's the closest thing Milotic can have for it. Let's not forget Clefable is connected to the Moon, and even it is just a Fairy Pokemon.

However, a Mega Milotic could very well not even receive a Fairy Typing. Everyone thought Mega Gyarados would be part Dragon Type when it Mega Evolved, but it ended up getting stuck with a Dark Typing. The creators could do the same with Milotic, giving it a part Dark Typing, but they would seriously have to alter its design in order to do that. Fairy would definitely be the easiest thing to do.

Along with a Dual Typing, Mega Milotic will need a new ability. Gyarados received Mold Breaker for its Mega Evolution, so Milotic might seem something similar. It could even receive Pixilate, as its a popular ability for Mega Fairy Type Pokemon. As for its Statistical Build, Mega Milotic would be a bulky Special Attacker with very high defensive stats and an incredibly high Special Attack Stat.

Wrap-Up:

The jury is still out on whether Mega Evolutions will continue in the Seventh Generation of Pokemon through Sun & Moon, but it's certain that if they do, a handful of these guys will meet the cut. They should all be considered, but we all know the Fan Picks doesn't always make it into the thoughts of the creators.
