#3 - Clefable

Yes, Espeon and Umbreon and Lunatone and Solrock all make a whole lot of sense to receive a Mega Evolution, and rightfully so. However, with titles like Sun & Moon, one can't forget about the original Moon Pokemon, Clefable. Above all the others, Clefable can definitely say it has waited far longer than the rest. And really, it would make for a great Exclusive Mega Evolution to Pokemon Moon.

The thing about Clefable though, and very similar to Volcarona, Clefable is already one hell of a Pokemon. It in no way needs a Mega Evolution with the power it's packing, but just makes sense for it to. If it was left out now, it would be a bigger flop than leaving Flygon out of the Third Generation Remakes. And, most likely, Clefable would also never receive one if not now, which would be yet another disappointment.

If it does receive a Mega Evolution, Mega Clefable would be something only found in nightmares. It would most likely have to remain a Fairy Type. Maybe it could gain a Duel Normal Typing for those wanting to run a Belly Drum Set, but that's a stretch. It would also most likely keep one of the Abilities it already has, but that's a good thing. Unaware is an incredible ability that wrecks Pokemon that are built on setting up, and Magic Guard prevents Clefable from perishing from a Status Conditioning.

For its Stat Boost, we see it getting evenly split between both of its offensive stats and both of its defensive stats, but more so in its defensive stats. Clefable is already a bulky attacker, and that would certainly continue in the that of Mega Clefable. It would be a hard defeat, but since it would be lacking in Speed, Mega Clefable wouldn't be invincible.
