Like any other RPGs, shops play an important role for keeping the protagonist’s party properly equipped and supplied. In Persona 5 Strikers, you’ll encounter different shops that have the same function. However, there’s one particular shop that’s conveniently accessible and will cater to the Phantom Thieves’ needs. In this short guide, we will show you how to “farm” discounted items in Sophia’s shop and how you can take advantage of what she has to offer.

As you already know, Sophia’s shop opens as soon as she joins the Phantom Thieves as part of the story, quite early in the game, on 7/27. Once available, you can access the shop from your Hideout or later on, from your RV.

This method is very useful early on but as you explore more jails, you can follow the same strategy. As long as the conditions are favorable for repeated short runs, you can use this trick to any jail in the game.

For this trick, you must get the “Smart Shopper” bond skill first. This will enable discounted items to appear in Sophia’s shop. Don’t miss out on getting these discounted items since you may find items on sale that are not normally part of Sophia’s default inventory! Items on sale on Sophia’s Shop get restocked/reshuffled whenever you visit a Jail and return from it. So doing this trick is pretty simple:

1. Enter a jail and teleport to a checkpoint in a small farming area

2. Defeat all enemies, collect the loot, and leave the jail.

3. Access Sophia’s Shop, sell all materials, buy the discounted items.

4. Rinse, repeat.

Furthermore, having the following Bond Skills will make your farming runs even more efficient:

* Highwayman - increased item drop rate for defeating enemies

* Extortionist - Increases the amount of money earned after every battle.

* Joker’s Wild - Increases the chance of masks to manifest.

* Packrat - Increases the chance of obtaining junk parts (unavailable early on)

* Treasure Hunter - Increases the chance to encounter Treasure Demons (unavailable early on)

Farming areas that you can consider should have easily-accessible checkpoints, respawning chests, lots of loot, and enemies to beat. In this example, we’re farming in Bunkamachi West (the checkpoint near the Ferris Wheel). From there, backtrack to the next checkpoint where there’s a miniboss that also awards you with a good amount of money and item drops along the way, and a respawning chest in a ledge behind the other checkpoint. You can get different skill cards from this chest as well. The path is summarized in the annotated screenshot below.

After gathering the loot and treasure, exit the jail from the checkpoint, sell the junk to Sophie, buy the discounted items, then return to the jail and repeat the process. You should be able to earn some profit as well on top of being able to afford the discounted items.

That concludes our quick guide about farming for items and stocking up on discounted consumables early in Persona 5 Strikers. Please check out our other guide pages for more helpful tips and tidbits about this outstanding action RPG.
