To grow a garden you can also just find seeds and plant them. I found some by the ponds in the park and voila!
to grow a garden u must goto grocery store, buy vegetables/fruit and plant in the garden. planting teaches you the gardening skill and knock yourself out! :D

I don't have all these things on my sims 3 how do i get them? please help!!!!!!!!!!!
Collecting Skill
I keep collecting gems and the number in my skill journal doesn't increase. So I can't meet the Gem Collecting challenge and get a heart shaped pink diamond. Not one skill journal for collecting will update in my entire household.
