God of War II - Urn Locations

There are seven 'Urns of Power' that can be acquired in God of War II. Once an urn has been obtained, it can then be activated from the status menu during a bonus play game. To start a bonus play game, you must first complete God of War II. Afterwards, select 'New Game' from the main menu and you will be able to start a new game with all of your previous weapon and magic levels intact. Bonus play is only available for the difficulty level you completed the game on or a lower.

URN OF GAIA: This urn can be found in Rhodes, in the Rhodes Palace area which is reached following the second Colossus fight. In the area with the two gates and push button, find the griffin statue and drag it over to the pressure sensitive button on the floor just before the pair of gates. Proceed to push the statue past the button so that Kratos is standing on the button. While on the button, press and hold the X button to gather strength and then release it to kick the statue beyond the first gate. While Kratos is still standing on the button, quickly move off of it and push up on the Right Analog Stick to roll through the gate before it closes.

While between the two gates, drag the griffin statue to the right and push it down the hall there. As you are pushing the statue down the hall, you will more than likely notice the three chests on the ledge up above. Continue pushing the griffin statue until it is up against the wall. Now, destroy the griffin part of the statue so only the pedestal remains. Hop up onto the pedestal, then jump and grab hold of the ledge. Open the unmarked chest to receive the Urn of Gaia.

URN OF THE GORGONS: This urn is hidden in the Bog of the Forgotten, but you must wait until you have acquired the Golden Fleece from Cerberus. Once you have the Golden Fleece, return to the area with the Gorgon beam conveyor belt. To return there, walk along the left side of the Temple of Euryale to reach the Ruins of the Forgotten. Move towards the gate on the right side of the Ruins where the building used to be and hop over to it. Open the gate and start down the familiar hallway. Youve travelled this path before, and there is little resistance along the way, so it shouldnt take you very long at all to reach the conveyor belt.

Once you have reached the conveyor belt, use Golden Fleece to deflect the middle Gorgon beam. Stand near the beam and press L1, then quickly press the button that appears on the screen. If you miss, you will be turned to stone, and the Sentries on the conveyor belt will likely break you. The wall is broken and an unmarked chest containing the Urn of the Gorgons is revealed if done correctly.

URN OF OLYMPUS: This just can be acquired right after you obtain the Spear of Destiny in the 'Edge of Creation' area. Once you have the Spear, drag the Fates Statue in the bottom right corner of this area onto the disc surrounding the handle. Grab hold of the handle and rotate the disc until the Fates Statue is facing the doorway. Next, drag the Fates Statue through the doorway, kick it down the ramp and drag it over to the pool of water.

Swim over to the opposite side of the pool. Turn around and walk as far back as you can (the Fates Statue is not on the screen), turn to where the Fates Statue is and activate the Amulet of the Fates. Use the grapple point to swing across the pool of water and then turn left around the corner. With the Amulet activated, you are free to move across to the chest without bringing the gate down. Jump through the gate to the three chests. The middle chest contains the Urn of Olympus.

URN OF PROMETHEUS: This urn is found in Atlas, after the room that contains the Firebird nests. Once you have destroyed every nest, climb up onto the platform and start moving across the scalable wall. When you reach the platform with the two chests, glide over to the scalable wall visible on the right side of the screen. Climb up the wall and start slinging across the ceiling. Attack the stalactite in your path to shatter it. When you reach the end, drop down onto the platform.

Attach yourself to the climbable wall on the left and climb up to the ceiling. Sling across the ceiling and destroy the first stalactite that you come to. Climb through the square hole that was underneath the stalactite. The unmarked chest on the left contains the Urn of Prometheus.
