The Palace of the Fates
Move over to the right side of the ramp and look for a lever in a small indent along that side. Pull the lever and quickly lock the Beast Lord that appears closest to you into a series of grabs to prevent him from summoning a Cyclops. Repeatedly grab the Beast Lord and eventually, Kratos will perform the fatality. The second Beast Lord that spawned has summoned a Cyclops, this cannot be avoided, but at least now you won't have to face two of them at once. If the Beast Lord has boarded the Cyclops, approach the duo and press the Circle button and rotate the Left Analog Stick clockwise to force the Beast Lord to dismount. Same deal here, repeatedly grab the Beast Lord until Kratos delivers the finishing blow.

Beast Lord Takedown
Beast Lord Takedown
Aside from the Beast Lords and Cyclops, there are Fiends to deal with too. Try you best to ignore the Fiend for now, just concentrate on grabbing and killing the Beast Lords. While you have one locked in a grab, you are invulnerable, meaning that you will not take any damage from the Fiend's projectiles. You'll have to kill about ten Beast Lords before they will stop spawning. Just keep on grabbing/killing the Beast Lords until they stop spawning. If one of the Beast Lords boards the Cyclops, force them to dismount.

Once the Beast Lords have stopped spawning, turn your focus to the Cyclops. After killing the Cyclops, move on to the Fiend and kill the ones that spawn after it. An easy way to kill fiends is to first grab them, Kratos will cause them to be launched into the air. At this point, press the Circle button and Kratos will grab hold of the Fiend with Athena's Blades and yank her back down. After killing the final Fiend, the barrier is removed.

Grab hold of the handle on the right side of the doorway and pull it towards the left wall. When you reach the left wall, release the handle and get behind the second handle that has appeared and start pushing it towards the left wall. Continue to do this until the room spins to an open doorway. Climb up the ramp and enter the circular room. Pull the lever in the middle of the room.

Doorway
Doorway
The room begins to slowly rotate. While the room is rotating, spikes will periodically come out of the floor. These spikes come up in sections, so if you notice the tips of the spikes poking out from the section of floor you are standing on, either double jump into the air and use the Icarus Wings to glide away from that section of floor, or simply roll over to a safe section. The Nymphs in this room can be irritating; they have the ability to hold you in place using their webbing, leaving you vulnerable to the spikes. If you are caught by a spike, you will take a bit of damage. To kill the Nymphs, either use Typhon's Bane and shoot them out of the air, or jump up into the air and use Cyclone of Chaos (L1 + Square) with Athena's Blades.

Ignore the alcoves that contain chests, you must wait until the both the door at the top of the room and the door to the right of it (the one with the large block behind it) are both un-gated. When this condition is met, quickly drag the large block out from the alcove to stop the room from rotating. If done correctly, all of the alcoves in this room should now be un-gated. Be sure to collect the Crank Handle from the dead body that is in the bottom-left alcove. Open all of the chests around the room and then proceed through the exit.

Head up the stairs on the left and go through the doorway to reach an outside area. Turn right and climb up the ladder near the end of the area. At the top of the ladder, press R1 to attach the Crank Handle to the bar. Grab hold of the handle and turn it clockwise until the flames below disappear. At this point, release the handle, face the Fates Statue and activate the Amulet of the Fates. With the flames gone, glide over to the platform.

PHOENIX FEATHER (20/30): Once on the platform that was previously blocked by the flames, turn right to discover a chest in a small alcove. The Phoenix Feather is inside of this chest. (If you have found eighteen Phoenix Feathers, these directions will lead you to a Red Orb chest. When opened, this chest will release a large amount of Red Orbs.)

Jump over to the next platform and move through the doorway. Use the save altar up ahead to save your game. Climb up the ledges and move to the very end of this hall. Pull the lever at the end of the hall to slightly lower the gate near the vent. Now quickly run back towards the vent, when you are near use the Icarus Wings and glide over the steam emitting from the vent. Gain some height using the vent and then glide over the gate as it rises back to its original position.

Crossing of the Lowlands

Auditorium of Lahkesis
Fight off the Hounds and Undead Legionnaire down the hall. Throw open the Zeus door and enter the room. Destroy the structure on the left to release a small block. Push the block outside and start heading down the walkway on the right. To speed up the process, hold the X button to charge a kick and then release it. A fully charged kick will send the send the block a good distance. Pick up the translator whom is sitting on a large button and set him down next to it. Push the block onto the button to keep the door open. Pick up the translator and start carrying him down the walkway.

Button

As you step through the doorway, some enemies spawn outside. You must not allow the translator to die. Drop the translator near the doorway and then run down the walkway to face the enemies that have appeared. As usual, Cyclone of Chaos (L1 + Square) is a good move to use here. When you have eliminated the first of enemies, pick the translator up and continue carrying him down the walkway. More enemies will spawn halfway, including a couple of Satyrs. The enemies will focus a great deal on the translator, leaving you alone for the most part. All you must do is stand next to the cowering translator and use Cyclone of Chaos to damage all of the enemies that come near. The translator, surprisingly enough, can take quite a bit of punishment; it will take more than a few hits to do him in.

Once the second wave has been dealt with, carry the translator back towards the podium. You must defend the translator one last time. He automatically crawls underneath the podium, so just stand next to him and spam Cyclone of Chaos to defend him. Atlas Quake helps out a great deal, too. The only enemy you need to watch out for here are the Magicians, they can damage the translator quite a bit if they land a spell next to him. Use Typhon's Bane or Atlas Quake to kill the Magicians, or just grab them until Kratos performs the fatality.

After the fight, approach the cowering translator and press the R1 button. Kratos attempts to force the translator to read the text from the book on the podium. When he struggles, rapidly press the Circle button and Kratos will smash the translators face into the podium, pushing him to continue reading the scripture. Do this again when the translator struggles and then once more to kill him. After the brief cutscene, move towards the door on the left and press the R1 button to retrieve the Key of the Ram.

Open the ram-head door and start down the hallway. Follow the proceeding corridors and eventually you will find yourself back at the East Auditorium. Approach the ram-head door straight ahead and use the recently acquired Key of the Ram to unlock it. Use the Green/Blue Orb chest to restore whichever meter you need and then start down the corridor on the right. The spiked gates on either side of the corridor begin to close in on Kratos. You must kill all of the Sentries that spawn to stop the gates killing you. Fortunately, Sentries are the lowest of the low, so this shouldn't be too hard of a task. Your best bet would be to use Cyclone of Chaos (L1 +Square) with Athena's Blades while the gates are closing in, then switch to Atlas Quake when the gates are close and things turn hectic.

When you have killed all of the Sentries, the gates retract, allowing you to continue down the corridor. Head up the stairs to enter the Garden of the Gods.

The Garden of the Gods
PHOENIX FEATHER (21/30): As you first step foot into the area, turn left to find an unmarked chest and a Red Orb chest. The Phoenix Feather is inside of the unmarked chest. (If you have found eighteen Phoenix Feathers, these directions will lead you to a Red Orb chest. When opened, this chest will release a large amount of Red Orbs.)

Destroy the cracked wall on the left and proceed through the opening that is created. Glide over to the narrow ledge that runs along the wall.

GORGON EYE (28/37): As you move along the ledge, after passing under the first arch, drop down to the small area that is visible below and climb up the ladder there. Head left to reach a Red Orb chest and an unmarked chest. Open the unmarked chest to obtain the Gorgon Eye. (If you have found eighteen Gorgon Eyes, these directions will lead you to a Red Orb chest. When opened, this chest will release a large amount of Red Orbs.)

Sacrifice to the Fates
Make your way across the ridge. Use the save altar to record your progress and then enter the area to the left. Drop down to the lower level of this room and approach the large door. Press R1 to start the ritual. You must use the switches to fry three Sirens. The switch on the left side activates the flamethrowers on the right wall and vice versa. Lure the Siren in front of one of the flamethrowers and use the Head of Euryale to turn them to stone. Quickly throw the lever near the wall opposite the petrified Siren. The flames should kill the Siren once she breaks free. Do this two more times to open the door.

Dive into the pool of water and swim through the underwater tunnel. Be careful not to touch the spikes on the wall along the tunnel. When you reach the end of the tunnel, ascend and hop out of the pool. Move to the back of this room and use the climbable wall to reach the ceiling. Sling across the ceiling and strike the icicles to remove them, revealing beams of sunlight. Once you have removed all of the icicles, drop down into the middle and press R1 to activate the phoenix statue there. The phoenix statue shoots out fire, effectively removing the ice covering the doorway directly in front of it.

Jump out of the pit and examine the object that the statue uncovered. It's a mirror, it can be used to reflect the beams of sunlight. Grab hold of the mirror along towards the handles, place under the beam of sunlight on the phoenix statue's left. Next, move over to the handles. Turn each of them clockwise until the half-moon is the symbol visible on the right side of the screen. If everything has been set up correctly, the beam of light will reflect off of the mirror and onto the mirror on the wall in front of the phoenix statue, melting the ice around it. Drop down into the middle and use the handle to turn the statue so that it is facing the doorway that was originally on its right. Use the lever behind the statue to activate its flamethrower, melting the ice-covered door in the process.

PHOENIX FEATHER (22/30): Turn the phoenix statue towards the frozen alcove that is to the right of the entrance to this room. Use the lever to activate the statue's flamethrower which will melt the ice covering the alcove. The Phoenix Feather is inside of the chest that is revealed. (If you have found eighteen Phoenix Feathers, these directions will lead you to a Red Orb chest. When opened, this chest will release a large amount of Red Orbs.)

Proceed through the doorway and follow the corridor. Drop down into the area at the corridor's end. Destroy the Firebird nest next to the climbable wall first. Next, use the climbable wall to reach the ceiling. Press the Square button to swing one of Athena's Blades to clear out the Firebirds that surround you. There are two nests on the ceiling that must be destroyed. Sling to the right and destroy the nest there, then swing across to the opposite end and destroy the second nest. With the nests destroyed, drop back down and turn the handle in the middle of the room clockwise to lower the grapple point. When the handle cannot be turned anymore, release it and press and hold the R1 button to attach to the grapple point.

BOSS BATTLE: CERBERUS
A word of warning to you: This battle can very quickly get out of hand. It appears that you are facing two Cerberus this time. No problem, right? Well, these Cerberus are a bit different then the Cerberus that you have faced previously. This variant is capable of spawning more Cerberus. They start as cubs but will eventually grow into a full-grown Cerberus if they aren't dealt with quickly.

For this reason, always take out the cubs first. The Cyclone of Chaos (L1 + Square) move with Athena's Blades will help you immensely. Use Cyclone of Chaos repeatedly when the two adult Cerberus release more cubs to quickly kill them. All that an adult Cerberus will do is spawn more cubs and swipe at you if you get too close, so you won't really have to worry about them attacking you while you go after their cubs. When the Circle appears over an adult Cerberus' head, approach that Cerberus and press the Circle button to deal some damage. The next time a Circle appears over that particular Cerberus' head, that takedown will be the killing blow.

Cerberus
Cerberus
If your Rage of the Titans meter is full, then by all means, use it now! Eventually, two Juggernaughts spawn and join the fight. They move quite slow, so try your best to simply ignore them while you concentrate on taking out the cubs and what is left of the adult Cerberus. Once you have killed every adult Cerberus and any remaining cubs, turn your attention to the two Juggernaughts. Switch to the Barbarian Hammer and use heavy attacks (Triangle) to quickly kill them.

After the battle, move towards the gate and climb up the ladder on the left wall. Use the save altar at the top to record your progress if you wish.

GORGON EYE (29/37): At the top of the ladder, turn around and glide over to the ledge on the other side. Open the chest to obtain a Gorgon Eye. (If you have found eighteen Gorgon Eyes, these directions will lead you to a Red Orb chest. When opened, this chest will release a large amount of Red Orbs.)

Proceed through the gate up ahead and drop down from the ledge. Start down the hallway and stop when you reach the Fates Statue. Smash the pots in front of the statue and then drag the statue out into the hall. Kick the statue down the hall and place it near the gate at the end. Through the gate, you will witness the second translator jumping to his death. Pull the lever next to the gate and step outside.

HEALTH CHEST: There is a special Health chest that can be found here. With the Fates Statue in place and the gate open, go through the gate and turn left. Jump through the shimmering mirror and then immediately activate the Amulet of the Fates. Run over to the alcove you pulled the Fates Statue away from. The chest will only appear in the indent while the Amulet of the Fates is activated. By opening this chest, the size of your health bar will increase, even if you have collected the maximum amount of Gorgon Eyes.

With the Fates Statue in place, enter the auditorium and turn left. Jump through the shimmering mirror to travel back in time to before the translator ended his life. Immediately activate the Amulet of the Fates, run over to the translator and press R1 to pick him up before he can jump. Carry him over to the podium and force him to read the scripture as you did with the first translator. After the cutscene, turn right and remove the Warrior's Skull from the door. Open the door and enter the next area.

Turn the handle in the middle of the vent clockwise to increase the amount of steam and then use the Icarus Wings to reach the platform with the lever above. Drop back down and turn the handle clockwise once more. Use the increased amount of steam to reach the high ledge on the left. Drop down to the platform below. Jump up and grab hold of the ceiling, sling across to the wall and slide down to the area below. Rotate the handle clockwise to lower the lift.

Entrance to the Underground
Two Cyclops appear as you step onto the main platform. You'll have to kill four of them before the barrier covering the door is removed. Be sure to kill them with takedowns, doing so yields a large amount of Green Orbs that serve to restore your health. Once the Cyclops have been dealt with, approach the Cerberus door at the top of this area and use the Warrior's Skull to unlock it. Open the Green and Blue Orb chests to restore your health and magic meters. Step onto the lift once you are ready, approach the column in the middle and press the R1 button. Tap the Circle button to start moving the lift downwards. The spikes on the ceiling begin to slowly descend towards you.

Column

The bones in this area turn into Skeletons. These Skeletons will attack you while you are moving the left down. A Skeleton quickly jams itself in the gear on the right, preventing you from moving the lift downwards. Quickly destroy the Skeleton and the ones around you. Select the Head of Euryale and be sure that the Barbarian Hammer is set as your second weapon. Use the Head of Euryale to petrify an active Skeleton, press R2 to equip the Barbarian Hammer and then press the Square button to shatter it. It doesn't take much magic meter to petrify one Skeleton, just be sure that you have upgraded the Head of Euryale at least once. Of course, a sizable magic meter helps too.

As soon as all of the active Skeletons have been shattered, return to the column and continue tapping the Circle button. Release the column as soon as more Skeletons become active and quickly kill them. Watch the gear on the right, another Skeleton eventually halts it. Once you reach the bottom, kill all the remaining Skeletons and then quickly throw open the gate at the top of the screen.

PHOENIX FEATHER (23/30): After stepping off of the lift, move down to the bottom of the screen to find two chests. The Phoenix Feather is in the unmarked chest. Head up the steps on the right. Jump up and grab hold of the rope, tap the X button to quickly move across. Press the Circle button when you reach a Sentry. A group of Undead Archers spawns on the platform to the right. The rope breaks and you fall down onto the platform below that one. Jump up and grab hold of the ledge, move over to the right towards the broken ladder and climb up onto the platform. If you still have some magic left over from that whole lift episode, Atlas Quake can quickly kill all of the Archers. Just stand in the middle of them and use it, once should do it.

Platform
Platform
You do need to dispose of the Archers quickly, as a couple of Gorgons soon spawn. As you may recall from previous bouts, two Gorgons together, or a Gorgon and any other enemy together for that matter, can be deadly. All that needs to happen is for you to become petrified by a Gorgon's Gaze and then the second quickly follows up with a melee attack, shattering you. It would be best to simply skip this part; kill the Archers, return to the top of the broken ladder and use the Icarus Wings to glide back over to the platform below.

Climb up the scalable wall on the left to reach the ceiling.

GORGON EYE (30/37): Once on the ceiling, move around the wall you just climbed and turn left into the small are there. Turn left again to discover a small alcove containing the chest. (If you have found eighteen Gorgon Eyes, these directions will lead you to a Red Orb chest. When opened, this chest will release a large amount of Red Orbs.)

MAGIC CHEST: There is a special Magic chest that can be found here. After killing the Sentries and Archers, head right. Equip Typhon's Bane and hold the R2 button to aim at the symbol on the wall behind the steam and press Square to shoot the symbol. Do this until it is destroyed, revealing a secret area. The chest on the left contains the magic bonus. By opening this chest, the size of your magic bar will increase, even if you have collected the maximum amount of Phoenix Feathers.
