Challenge: #9 Demo Man

Description: The Suicide King challenge requires you to play through to Womb II to Defeat Mom’s Heart.

Unlock: This Challenge is unlocked once you receive the Dr. Fetus achievement. You unlock It Lives by defeating Mom’s Heart nine times.

Strategy: The Dr. Fetus item gives you the overall best appearance in my opinion. Besides looking good you also start with the Matchstick Trinket, which gives bombs a higher chance to drop. Seeing as you have an infinite supply of bombs at your disposal it would be beneficial to drop this as soon as you can in favor of other pick-ups. The bombs granted from Dr. Fetus do not do the same damage as your normal dropped bomb. It is still based on your damage, so you should still be on the lookout for damage up items. Once again, bomb everything. You should always find your secret and super secret room to help with getting some extra items. Any bomb altering pick ups, like Mr. Mega, will alter your bombs from Dr. Fetus as well. The number one thing to avoid for this run, is anything with piercing. It will cause your bombs to slide straight through enemies making it really difficult to do damage if your range gets extended through item drops. As long as you are able to get damage ups, this challenge shouldn’t be too difficult.

Completion: Completion of this challenge unlocks the Chaos card.
