TOY AXE/STABILIZER
The Toy Axe actually isn't useless. Exit the Main House via the three-headed dog door to reach The Yard, and inspect the far left corner of the yard to find another projector puzzle. Use the Toy Axe to create a 'seven' and the nearby box can be opened up for a Stabilizer. This item permanently improves your reload speed, allowing you to reload more quickly.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY VIDEOTAPE
In the trailer you can watch the Happy Birthday tape. Here are the steps you need to take to complete the room:
- Grab the Candle from the Clown model, head north and then right into the room with the birthday cake. You need to light the candle and place it in the cake, but the showers at the start of this room prevent you from easily doing this.
- Go back to the first room near the clown and flush/check the toilet for the Dirty Telescope item. Use it underneath the showers to clean it.
- Use the Telescope to watch the television screens and memorize the figures you note. Go into the room with the birthday pie and input the figures on the code roll on the right to receive the Straw Doll.
- Go into the kitchen and burn the doll to get the Dummy Finger. Now lit the candle and go north, burning the rope on the door. Destroy enough balloons (by crouch walking) in the room beyond to find a Deflated Balloon in the north portion of the room.
- Use the Deflated Balloon in the main room, on the broken gas pipe to make it explode and get the Quill Pen.
- Head back to the birthday pie room and collect the Winding Key from the barrel.
- Use the Dummy Finger, Quill Pen on the clown's hand and the Winding Key on its belly to trigger a scene. Now use L1 to see the word on your left arm: 'Loser'. Go north to the balloon room and input the password at the locked door to find a Valve in the last room.
- Use the Valve on the pipes opposite to the birthday pie to close off the showers. You can now lit the candle in the kitchen and place it in the pie to end the tape. Be sure to do things differently if you ever find yourself in this situation for real, right!?
MASTER BEDROOM/WORKSHOP/RED KEYCARD
The next location you're gonna visit is the Master Bedroom in the Main Hall of the Main House. It's up the stairs, to the right. The cabinet to your left contains Shotgun Shells, a Herb in the drawers to the right, more Shotgun Shells underneath the nearby chair in the corner, and a Lockpick in the small orange box on the cabinet. The adjacent storage room contains a Treasure Photo to the left, a Herb to the right, and a blue Backpack on the iron shelves against the wall, which increases your inventory with another four slots!
In the Master Bedroom, set the time of the clock next to the bed to 10:15 (it's always the same time, and you can check the time at the clock in the Main Hall), and the bed will move.
Head downstairs to finally reach the Workshop. Here you'll find the Red Keycard on the table. The green locker contains Enhanced Handgun Ammo.
There are Molded enemies in the basement, but since you don't need to be here again - ever - it's best to sprint past them and to safety upstairs in the Safe Room.
A last thing to consider now is to open up the locked drawer in the Greenhouse, since you now have an extra Lockpick to do so. Take the stairs of the Greenhouse to find it; it's small and white. Inside are two Flame Rounds. If you think you've missed something in any of the areas so far, save your game at the trailer, use some Psychostimulants and rush through the areas to pick up anything you might've forgotten. Head through the keycard gate in The Yard when you're all set.
