2 - Hatch Key, Main Hall, Garage Fight

Drop on the floor with the chair to release yourself. There are a few items and files you can find around here. There's Handgun Ammunition x5 inside the drawer cabinet in the corner of the adjacent living room. You can also find the Newspaper Article - Missing People in the middle of the room on the table here. Back in the dining room, check the wall next to the kitchen to find the Home-improvement Store Receipt file. Check the bin inside the kitchen to find a Herb. Head through the door in the kitchen to find a room with a locked hatch inside. Remember this location for later.

To continue, head through the double doors. Look to your left to find a small locked cabinet. Up ahead is a sign that says 'Garage', with a wooden box with yellow tape around it to the right of this sign. Remember these things for later. Downstairs you'll find a device in the corner taped off with red tape. Again, memorize this. Go back up to the corridor. The first door to the right simply leads to the kitchen (which is good to know nonetheless), while the door at the left corner is locked from the other side.

Continue down the hall and the man (armed with a dangerous shovel) will show up and come for you. Retreat to the dining room, then to the living room and run away via the door in the kitchen. Run all the way to the end of the hall to the right and the man should come through the wall. When he does, run back through the kitchen and through the room with the hatch, where the hole in the wall has been created. You're now in the corridor, where you should be able to find the Hatch Key in the corner. You can now unlock the hatch in the room you were previously in. Try to lose the man and then proceed through the hatch.

Crawl through the tunnel and keep an eye out for the red lawnmower on the left side. Inspect it to find an Antique Coin. At the end you'll be in the first Safe Room of the game. You can save your game here and deposit/collect items from the green box, like in the earlier installments of Resident Evil. Also take note that enemies cannot enter Safe Rooms, so they can come in handy for tactical strategies. In this particular laundry safe room, grab the Main House Map from the table, then inspect the locker to find a Herb and some Chem Fluid. You can also find a Lockpick inside a small red box on the racks (inspect the side of the box, then look inside to find it).

Unlock the door to find yourself back in the main corridor (it was the previously locked door in the corner of the corridor). Check out the (now) right side of the corridor to find the locked cabinet next to the dining room door and use the lockpick (which breaks) to find a First Aid Med inside. Now head back into the Safe Room and answer the phone. Back in the corridor, head to the far end, then return to the other end to find a deputy knocking on the door. He'll hand you a Knife - at least it's better than nothing, right?

Optional: There are two so-called Mr. Everywhere Statues you can destroy now that you have the knife. The first Mr. Everywhere Statue is in the laundry safe room, directly positioned underneath the Save Point. The second Mr. Everywhere Statue is at the far end of the corridor, positioned at the middle of the debris. Simply slash them to swipe them off your list. There are a total of twenty in the game. You can also, at the end of this corridor (where the debris is) find some Gunpowder on the floor in the right corner of the debris, hidden behind a plank.

Continue by going to the 'Garage' sign. Slash the wooden box to your right to find Handgun Ammunition x5. Head downstairs and cut through the red tape to use the button inside the box. You should combine a Herb and the Chem Fluid into a First Aid Med if you haven't done so already. Hit the button and watch the short scene. Now immediately grab the G17 Handgun from the floor, but do not waste any bullets. Instead, collect the Car Keys to the immediate left on the table. Wait around the other side of the car to lure the man, then quickly run to the left side of the car, shoot the man in the head to stun him and enter and start the car. (If you enter the car while the man is close to you, he'll pull you out of the car and drive you over.) You can now drive over him repeatedly. He'll hop onto the car eventually, and a short scene will play. Move away from the car and the explosion will end the fight.

Garage Fight

Before you continue, check the locker in the corner for a First Aid Med, the drawer cabinet in the other corner for some Chem Fluid, and the table in the last corner for Handgun Ammunition x5. Climb the ladder (a short scene will play) and check out the left side at the upper walkway for Shotgun Shells x1. The cabinet contains the Ox Statuette (inspect the back to screw it loose); push the cabinet out of the way to exit the Garage.
