Now that you have the Red Dog's Head from the Morgue, you can finally enter the Yard via the Main Hall. First let's do some exploration. On the far left side of the porch you can find a Herb and some Gunpowder. Head back to the door and check the steps; a small pot stands on the right side which contains a Lockpick. Now head down the steps and turn right around the corner in the grass to find an Antique Coin on top of a pot here.

With these items collected, head to the white trailer in the middle of the yard. Just outside the trailer you can find some Chem Fluid in the green box to the right of the white chair. There's also a Mr. Everywheres Statue right underneath the doorsteps of the trailer, so slash it up. You can find Gunpowder to the far right of the trailer in a large bowl/plate. And to the far left of the trailer you can find some Supplements next to the locked door that requires two keycards to open.

Inside the trailer, a lot of things can be done. There's the phone that will ring (or it will ring when you leave the trailer); pick it up for some story dialogue. You can find a Broken Handgun on the bed, check out Zoe's Investigation Notes on the pinboard, and collect an Antique Coin on the table. You'll now find out what these coins are for: They can be spent on the following items (held in cages here):

3 Coins - Steroids (increases max health indefinitely)

5 Coins - Stabilizer (reloading speed increases indefinitely)

9 Coins - 44 MAG Magnum (a very powerful gun)

You should now have seven Antique Coins. Although the Steroids and the Stabilizer are nice perks, I would suggest waiting a little longer until you collect two more Antique Coins so you can purchase the Magnum as soon as possible, although ultimately the choice is up to you.

Now is also a good time to sort your inventory. You actually won't be needing any gunpower soon, but bring your Knife along. Also bring a healing item (to make you feel safe at least), and the Burner Fuel (if you haven't collected this yet, it is in the room adjacent to the Recreation Room, unlocked with the Scorpion Key, it is on the floor on the right side of the small desk). So in total bring four items: Knife, First Aid Med(s), Burner Fuel. Save your game before leaving.

There's one more thing to do. From the steps of the Main House, do the following. Head down the steps and move slightly left and face the house. You should be able to spot an iron plate attached to the porch. You can actually pull this loose to reveal a wooden box. It should contain a Repair Kit. You can combine this with the Broken Handgun to create the M19 Handgun. Leave it in the item box for now, though it's nice to have.

To continue, head down the path on the far right of the yard (the other gate, behind the trailer, is locked from the other side). Go over the bridge at the end of the path and destroy the two Wooden Boxes (most likely Handgun Ammo). Go inside the Old House and equip your Knife. There are a few large bugs in this room; slash them. Ignore the door to the right for now; there are too many insects. Go through the door on the left/north near the water to reach a room with bugs and an insect nest. Run past it to reach the door in the far left corner; go through the door and close it behind you. You'll probably get stung two to three times but that's fine for now.

You're now at the spot where (in the Mia tape) you hid from Marguerite earlier. Go through the door on the right to enter the Dining Room. Check the cabinet for Solid Fuel, and Shotgun Shells x4 from the crate on one of the tables. Unlock the kitchen drawer with your lockpick for a First Aid Med. The iron locker in the corner is covered with nasty little spiders. Slash them away to find Chem Fluid and Strong Chem Fluid inside (you'll find a lockpick in a second). IGNORE the wooden door, since it leads to the Living Room we ignored just now, as it is completely infested with bugs.

Instead head through the door with fence, which leads outside. Check the windowsill to the left to find some Gunpowder, and head to the right to find Psychostimulants and a Lockpick inside the small box. (You can use the lockpick to open up the drawer in the previous room.) Ignore the nest up ahead and go right into the Water Station room. Grab the Burner Nozzle from the table, which is the first part of a flamethrower. There's also a Herb to the left.

Go back to the Old House and through the corridor you just came from (where you hid behind the crate for Marguerite) and proceed to the back door. Three large bugs will come through the window; slash them with your knife. On the cabinet with the candle left of the door you'll find the Old House Map. Underneath this cabinet you can find Burner Fuel x100. It's a little tricky to grab, though fairly easy to spot.

Go through the next room - the Gallery - and head outside to collect the Burner Grip from the trash bin on the left. Combine it with the Burner Nozzle you found at the Water Station room to craft the Burner (with 150 Burner Fuel inside automatically). You can craft more burner fuel by combining regular Chem Fluid with Solid Fuel, but you should also consider combining the Strong Chem Fluid with the Solid Fuel to create Flame Rounds for the (later to be obtained) Grenade Launcher. To the right you can find Handgun Ammo x5 and a Chem Fluid in the trashbin and among the debris.

If you're running out of item slots by now, don't worry! There's a Safe Room to the other (west) side, where you can find the Backpack (which adds four inventory slots). You can also smash a Mr. Everywheres Statue on the wall eft of the item box. Keep your Burner, Burner Fuel, some restoratives, perhaps a Chem Fluid, and of course your Knife. Save your game and head back to the Old House.

You need to go to the Living Room, which we skipped earlier. You can enter via the Dining Room; keep your Burner ready. You should have 250 fuel at this point (150 inside the original tank plus 100 in the tank you found much earlier in the Main House). There are two insect nests inside the room, one on the left near the fireplace and one in the middle of the room. You have to be fairly close in order to damage them with the burner, but you'll definitely want to focus on the nests since otherwise the insects will simply keep on coming. The cabinet drawer on the other side of the room contains some Solid Fuel. There's also a Chem Fluid in the cabinet near where the second nest was. Combine them to create some Burner Fuel. You should now have a full clip (150) or a little more than that. You can also find more Burner Fuel x50 in the corner of the Living Room, near the flipped bench.

Note: It helps later on if you go outside via the Dining Room and destroy the insect nest near the bridge outside. You can do this with the Burner.

To continue, head through the fireplace. Check the left wall immediately when you come out of the small tunnel and you'll notice some wooden pallets standing against the wall. Inspect them closely to spot a Mr. Everywheres Statue standing next to them.

Before entering the door downstairs, check to the left to find an Antique Coin on the cart. In the room beyond, approach the fence for a scene, then grab the Stone Statuette from the table.

Now head back. Go to the entrance room and Marguerite will block the door with spiders. Toast or slash them, then head through anyway. When you reach the hall leading to the Gallery, Marguerite is blocking the way. Hide behind the crate and let her move into the Dining Room, then sneak past her, into the Gallery to the left. Here, use the Stone Statuette to solve the spider puzzle, like you did in the Mia Tape and go through the newly opened wall.

Check the debris on the right side to find a Solid Fuel and a Herb. Go upstairs to spot the locked Crow Door and the Marguerite's Warning hammered next to it.

The drawer to the right of the door contains a Chem Fluid. In the main area, spot the pulley machine on the left with some rope, which requires a crank to operate. Head into the basement to the right to find it. The Crank is at the end, but you can also find a Wooden Box and a Mr. Everywhere's Statue on the left side, past the lawnmower, on a small iron cabinet. There's also a well-hidden Chem Fluid at the end, in the right corner behind the wooden pallet. Return to the pulley and use the crank to raise a bridge between this section and the entrance.

Head to the Guest Room to the left (north) and slash away the spiders from the locker (if you hadn't done so already) to find two Burner Fuel x60 inside. You can also find a Herb in a small orange box in the middle of the room on a tv that's stuck in the sticky insect stuff. Now for the tricky part: You need to go back outside, via the Dining Room, but Marguerite is inside. You should get spotted by her by going (as you're doing now) via the Guest Room and the adjacent corridor. Being spotted, run back to the entrance and go via the Living Room into the Dining Room and then immediately outside.

If you've destroyed the insect nest here earlier, good. If not, close the door behind you and destroy the nest, then take out any remaining large insects with your knife. Use the crank to raise the bridge and quickly go to the small room at the end. Inspect the sink to the right, before entering the door, to find a First Aid Med. Inside the small room you'll find the Crow key in the chest, along with an Antique Coin and Burner Fuel to the right at the toilet.

Now head back and avoid Marguerite. You need to go to the Crow Door near where you raised the bridge. Be sure to have a fully loaded Burner ready, as Marguerite dumps you in a pit. Ignite her with short controlled bursts to conserve ammo, but at the same time destroying the bugs around you and dealing damage to her. After several busts, she'll fall down. Quickly climb the ladder or the goo will start hurting you.

Head through the Crow door and check the box on the cabinet for the Serum Documentation file. Answer the phone, then check the room to the north for Marguerite's Notebook and Ammo in the drawer, plus some creepy artefacts. Continue through the hall and smash the Mr. Everywheres Statue next to the candle in the room to the east. The drawers in the corner contain an Antique Coin.

To continue you first need a Lantern, like the one Marguerite was carrying. Head back to the hole she fell in and chase her through the tunnel and up the ladder. You'll now be outside. Check out the path towards the gate and look for a Strong Chem Fluid on the iron pole to the right side of the path leading up to the gate. Unlock it to reach the trailer again. (Obviously the gate could have been unlocked from the other side as well; just put your hand through it and remove the bar - voila!) In any case, head to the trailer and save.
