How to Increase Inventory Space

One of your first priorities in New World will be to increase your inventory space, as what you are given at the start of the game will not take long to fill up with the items which you gather and craft in order to level up your skills. Inventory space in New World is determined by weight, and in order to increase the amount your character is able to carry requires satchels (bags). Obtaining satchels is not difficult, you will be able to earn your first one when you reach Level 12 and complete the quest 'Between Innkeeps'. Completing this quest will give you the 'Worn Traveler's Satchel' which will increase your max encumbrance weight by 50.

Other satchels can also be obtained by either questing or crafting. Although you can buy satchels in the Trading Post, they will be expensive. It is recommended that you instead craft your own to not only save money but to also increase your crafting levels in the process. Listed below are the satchels you can obtain.

Layered Leather Adventurer's Satchel:

Tier: 4

Level: 40

Craft:

- 45 Layered Leather

- 25 Silk

- 10 Starmetal Ingot

- 1 Greater Rune of Holding

Weight Increase: 105-305

Infused Leather Adventurer's Satchel:

Tier: 5

Level: 60

Craft:

- 45 Infused Leather

- 25 Infused Silk

- 10 Orichalcum Ingot

- 1 Grand Rune of Holding

Weight Increase: 60-360

Gator Leather Bag:

Quest Reward: Complete the quest 'Ebonscale Alligators'

Weight Increase: 255 (also reduced weight of leather and skinning knives).

The Runes of Holding that are required when you craft a satchel can be found in the faction store. Although they are not cheap their cost is justified by the trade-off of not having to discard items.

Minor Rune of Holding (T2)

Major Rune of Holding (T3)

- 3,000 Tokens

- 500 Gold coins

Greater Rune of Holding (T4)

- 5,000 Tokens

- 1,000 Gold

Grand Rune of Holding (T5)

- 7,000 Tokens

You can level up your increased storage space in towns and settlements. You do this by leveling up your territory standing.
