How to get Free Skins
Skins in New World are purely cosmetic, they are a way to make your character look unique and show off your sense of fashion. There are two ways in which you can acquire skins, this How to get Skins guide will tell you everything you need to know about obtaining them.
The only way in which you can get free skins in New World is through limited-time Twitch Drops, in order to do this you will need to link your Twitch account with your New World game and watch a streamer with drops enabled for around one hour. This is providing there is a Twitch drop campaign currently running, if there is, you will be rewarded with a free skin after each hour that passes. You can also get free skins if you have Amazon Prime Gaming, and it is linked with your Twitch account and New World game. Free skins were also offered as pre-order bonus when the game was initially released and with the deluxe edition of the game.
The other way in which to get skins in New World is to access New World's in-game store, press the 'Escape' key on your keyboard and click on the 'Store' tab. Here you will see options that include 'Armor Skins', 'Weapon Skins', 'Housing Furniture', 'Emotes', 'Dyes', and 'Company Crests' click any of these, select the skin you want to buy and purchase it using marks. If you do not have marks you can get some by spending real money by clicking the 'Add More Marks' button inside the store menu. Marks is short for 'Mark of Fortune' which is the name for the premium currency in New World. The cheapest option nets you 5,000 Marks of Fortune for $2.99. The most expensive one, meanwhile, adds 50,000 Marks of Fortune if you spend $19.99.
