The three playable classes of characters in Loop Hero are Warrior, Rogue, and Necromancer. You start the game as the Warrior class and the other two must be unlocked. In order to unlock the Rogue class you must first build a Field Kitchen in your camp. To build one requires 3x Preserved Wood, 2x Preserved Stone, and 1x Food Supply. Once you have the Field Kitchen in place you will be able to build the second and final building needed to unlock the Rogue class which is the Refuge.
How to Unlock the Rogue Class
Constructing the Refuge is a bit more complex than the Field Kitchen as it requires more materials to gather in order to build, and it must be built along one of the sides of the Field Kitchen. There is also the possibility depending on how far into the game you are that you may have to demolish one of your previous builds in order to build the Refuge. The Refuge requires 12x Preserved Wood, 2x Preserved Stone, and 7x Food Supply - in addition to 4x Stable Metal. Once built the Rogue class which will become an available option the next time you are on the main screen.
Using the Rogue
Although the Rogue class is not as strong as the Warrior class they make up for it with the Trophy mechanic which grants Rogues the ability to collect a trophy for killing off enemies in the path. These trophies can be later exchanged for equipment in the camp. Rogues gain a 5% Vampirism stat at the start and can also dual-wield weapons, getting a 10% bonus if the weapons have matching effects. The Rogue has the following class stats:
- Vampirism (base of 5% to start)
- Damage to All
- Evade %
- Crit. Chance %
- Attack Speed
- Counterattack %
- Crit. Damage %
