Loop Hero makes you focus on building the world that surrounds you by using cards. By placing cards in different combinations you will be able to create completely new scenarios or situations. When you place cards next to specifics ones or combine several of the same cards you will be able to affect how tiles act. It may just enhance the tile, or it may create a completely new tile which could change the tide of battle. Once you become familiar with tile combinations and synergies in Loop Hero you will know how to take advantage of the cards in your deck to farm more resources and acquire better gear to help you defeat the Lich. Listed below are some of the best card combos you can use in the game. Remember in order to unlock new cards so you can try out these synergies you need to build more structures in your camp.
A Blood Path is created when you place 2 Battle Field tiles next to each other. Doing so spawns a blood clot every 4 days. A good time to place these is after the camp so you get your chest and rewards immediately after completing a loop.
A Burned Forest is created when you place a Forest in the path of a Storm Temple. Doing so will turn the lower attack speed Forests into Burned Forests and also keep the Thickets intact for the better buffs. Burned Forests provide +0.5 Magic Damage which means it deals more bonus damage on top of your base damage.
To create a Hungry Grove you need to place a Blood Grove next to a Grove and destroy the Grove with the Oblivion card. The Hungry Grove may occasionally attack your hero for 11 damage. It will devour enemies including the Lich boss that have less than 20% HP left.
To create an Oasis you need to place a Sand Dune next to a River. An Oasis reduces your hero’s attack speed by 0.5%, and other creatures' attack speed by 1%. The Oasis tiles are particularly useful later in the game when you play Rogue as they can create a larger gap between you and enemy mobs' attack speed.
To create a Shipwreck you need to place a Battle Field next to a River. A Shipwreck tile spawns an enemy Siren as well as chests.
To create an Overgrown Field you need to first place 10 Forest cards anywhere on your map to spawn a 'Village?' tile somewhere in your loop. Once you have done this place a Wheat Field next to the Village?' tile. The Overgrown Field spawns a scarecrow every four days, like a normal Wheat Field, but also creates Field of Blades enemies on empty tiles during combat.
To create a Mountain Peak you need to place 9 rock or Mountain tiles in a 3x3 square format. A Mountain Peak tile will provide 120 HP and +5 HP for every adjacent Mountain and Rock tile. It also spawns a Harpy every two days.
You will create a Bandit Camp in a nearby tile when you place 2 Villages. Every 2 days a bandit spawns on an adjacent tile.
To create a Blooming Meadow you must place a Meadow next to any other tile. A Blooming Meadow heals 3 HP at the start of each day.
To begin with you need to place a Village next to a Vampire Mansion, so it becomes a Ransacked Village for three loops. The Ransacked Village then turns into the Count's Lands which gives you more HP per loop and better quest rewards. Even if you use an Oblivion card to get rid of the Vampires the Ransacked Village will still turn into a Count's Lands.
You can create a Goblin Lookout by placing a Goblin Camp next to a Swamp. This will add a Goblin Archer to battles on adjacent tiles. Goblin Camps spawn each time you place down 10 Rock or Mountain tiles anywhere on the map.
If you surround a Treasury with 8 tiles you will create an Empty Treasury and gain various resource rewards. It also spawns a Gargoyle every 3 days.
