How to Unlock the Necromancer Class

The three classes featured in Loop Hero are Warrior, Rogue, and Necromancer and each has their own strengths and weaknesses. The only class that will be available to you when you start Loop Hero is the Warrior class, the other two classes are locked, and you must meet certain requirements before they become accessible. Once unlocked you will be able to change your class at the main menu before beginning a new loop.

Both the Rogue and Necromancer classes are unlocked through gameplay and constructing certain buildings in your camp. Although you can just progress through Loop Hero collecting resources until you meet the requirement to unlock them it is far better to focus on building a supply of resources that will unlock the other two classes as early as possible as being able to choose your class at the start of each loop will give you a massive advantage.

How to Unlock the Necromancer

The Necromancer class is arguably the best class in Loop Hero and as you would expect the most difficult class of the two to unlock due to there being a total of 4 buildings to unlock (the Rogue only has 2). The first building you need to build in your camp is the Field Kitchen and the resources you need are not difficult to acquire. You only need 3x Preserved Wood, 2x Preserved Stone, and 1x Food Supply to build one. Once you have the Field Kitchen in place you will be able to add certain class-specific buildings. One of which is the Gymnasium which is the next building you need to construct. This requires 6x Stable Metal, 3x Preserved Stone, 2x Stable Wood, and 1x Metamorphosis. Once the Gymnasium is in place you will be able to place a Cemetery which requires 14x Preserved Stone, 4x Stable Wood, 2x Stable Metal. The final building is the Crypt which you will be able to build nearby the Cemetery after it has been placed. The Crypt requires 16x Preserved Stone, 9x Stable Metal, 4x Stable Wood, and 1x Orb of Expansion and once built the Necromancer class which will become an available option the next time you are on the main screen.

Using the Necromancer

When you select the Necromancer you will be able to equip 2 rings, 1 amulet, a book and a shield (provided you have placed an Arsenal card which is a gold card). Consider getting the 'Field Practice' and 'Unseen Care' traits early and work towards getting the 'Horde' and 'Lightning Fast' traits which are without doubt the most powerful traits you can take at any given stage in the game for the game for the Necromancer. Once you have plenty of skeletons look to invest in the 'Residual Heat' trait. Make sure you Oblivion bandit camps whenever possible otherwise they will kill your run. The Necromancer has the following class stats:

- Attack Speed (affects how quickly you summon skeletons)

- Evade %

- Summon Quality (affects the type of skeleton that might be summoned)

- Regeneration

- Defense

- Skeletons' Power (affects the raw stats of your skeletons, like damage and HP)
