Once a Soul Emblem has been unlocked you need to strategically place it in the Community Board according to the affinity of your character so that they recieve Boosts in the form of passive bonuses and other enhancements that will help you in the game. When Soul Emblems that are related are placed beside each other in a Community Board your character will gain Link Boosts which will further increase the contribution of both emblems. You can refer to the 'Confirm Bonuses' list in the Soul Emblems menu to deduce which characters are compatible with what Soul Emblem.
There are seven different categories in the Community Board and in order to unlock them you must acquire the Soul Emblem of each of its leader. Each of the categories focuses on a different area of the game (cooking, training, etc.) and in order to get the most benefit out of the Soul Emblems you unlock you need to match them with the appropriate category when placing them in the Community Board. Each Soul Emblem has its strengths and weaknesses and matches more or less one of the seven categories. By trying different combinations you will be able to find the one that will increase the level of stars in each category. Listed below are the seven Community Boards.
