In Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot a Super Attack is a devestating attack your character can use that can easily turn the tide of battle in your favour. Check out our How to Unlock Super Attacks guide to find out everything you need to know about them.
Each of the characters in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot starts off with two or three Super Attacks and more can be added to the characters arsenal by collecting D Medals and Z Orbs. D Medals are needed to undergo training at training grounds which is where the new Super Attack is unlocked. D Medals can be found all around the world or earned from completing different tasks, story missions, and side quests. Z Orbs are needed to purchase the new Super Attack and they can also be found all around the world. Once you have collected enough D Medals and Z-Orbs you need to ensure you have all the moves in the skill tree unlocked up to the Super Attack that you want to unlock. The Z-Orbs you collected are used in the Skill Tree to unlock the moves that you need to unlock the new Super Attack. Once you have these requirements you need to head to the nearest training grounds and complete the purchase.
Note: It is important that before you begin the procedure of unlocking a Super Attack for a character you ensure you have the character in your party and you have found a training ground.
To equip a Super Attack in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot you will need to enter the main menu by pressing LB on your Xbox One controller or L1 on your PS4 controller. From here you need to select the character you want to equip the Super Attack with. Press X at the character's page to open the Super Attack Palette and select the Super Attack for your character (you will be able to select up to four Super Attacks). Before you can use these Super Attacks you will need to power up your Ki which is done during battle by pressing Y on Xbox One or Triangle if you're on PS4. Once the Ki is charged enough you just hold LB on Xbox One or L1 if you are on PS4 and select the face button corresponding to the attack you want to use.
