How to defeat Conrad the Amoured Boss

During Chapter 2 you will encounter Conrad the mob boss who is a fully amoured knight, to progress further in the story it is necessary that you kill him. The slingshot rocks Amicia fires will not deal any damage front-on, they will just bounce harmlessly off his armour and if he reaches Amicia a single hit is enough to take her down. This guide will tell you how to defeat the amoured boss.

Although this battle may first appear impossible there is a way that you can defeat him. This involves snapping the straps of his armour that hold it in place. To get a clean shot at these straps you have to wait until he gets close and starts attacking and then dodge his attacks. After a few swings of his axe he will need to catch his breath or pull the weapon from the ground. At this moment you must run up behind him and fire a shot at one of the shoulder straps, causing that part of the armour to fall off. Once the shoulder pads have been removed this boss will become more mobile and aggressive and you will need to keep further away, and dodge for longer as he will begin extending his sequence of swings.

When both shoulder pads have been removed the neck armour mounts will be exposed on his chest. These can be shot down when he is walking in your direction if you are the correct distance away from him. It is important that you make sure you dodge immediately after the shot otherwise you will die. The last piece of armour you need to remove is the helmet and its mount point is in the middle of the boss's back. Keep avoiding his attacks until he is tired and stops to regain his stamina, then take this opportunity to shoot down his helmet to expose his head. A single shot to the face of the boss from Amicia's slingshot will now be enough to kill the boss.
