A Plague Tale: Innocence is a single-player story-driven action-adventure stealth game that also combines puzzles. We have a collection of cheats and tips that will help you in this game which is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC.

A Plague Tale: Innocence

A Plague Tale: Innocence is set in 14th-century France during the time of the Black Death which was sweeping the country killing everything in its path.

You play as Amicia de Rune, a teenage daughter of a noble family entrusted with the care of her sickly kid brother Hugo, and are forced to flee their opulent home after an attack from the Inquisition who are pursuing Hugo for some mysterious reason.

Cheats, Tips and Strategy

Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include crafting Ignifer and scaring rats. As well as these hints and tips we also have a mini-guide here that goes into more detail on some of the tips we have below:

• Hitting the Boar

  During the hunting scene at the start of the game there is a challenge where you have to sneak up on a boar and shoot it with a slingshot. To do this successfully you must be quick.

  The slingshot makes sounds that will frighten the boar and make it run away therefore you need to aim and shoot before the attention indicator above the animal is filled.

• Crafting Ignifer

  To craft Ignifer you need 1x Rock, 1x Sulfur, and 1x Alcohol. The easiest way to find these ingredients is to look for wooden chests, intact or broken that are in the area you want to use Ignifer.

• Scaring Rats

  Once you have met Lucas you will get access to Ignifer which you can shoot using the Slingshot to light up torches, haystacks in the field or anything else that can catch fire to ward off rats and make a path you can walk.

• Don't Leave Hugo

  Make a point of always avoiding situations where you have to leave Hugo alone as doing so for too long will make him panic and reveal your location to your pursuers.

• Upgrade Carrying Capacity

  Once you reach the old woman's house in Chapter 2 you shold focus on upgrading your carrying capacity using the workbench which is outside her house. You do not want to be scavenging for materials and then realise you have to leave behind what you cannot carry.

• Alchemist Carts

  A good source for crafting materials are the carts belonging to the alchemists. You will find some of these near the main path whilst others you will have to search for as they are hidden in the alleys or side paths.

• Killing Guards

  If possible you should sneak past guards rather than trying to kill them. If it is absolutely necesary to kill a guard to progress in the game you should use your rock and sling and aim at the guards unprotected head to kill them.
