Markarth
Markarth is one of the major cities in Skyrim. It is located on the west side of the map and is the capital of The Reach. The buildings in Markarth consist mostly of of dwemer architecture and it is believed to have been populated by the dwemer before their disappearance. It's main points of interest are the dwemer ruins underneath Understone keep and Cidhna Mine.
Markarth plays a somewhat large role on the main questline as it is one of the cities the Dragonborn must negotiate about when seeking peace in the civil war. It also acts as the setting for many quests.
