Dawnguard
Dawnguard is the first piece of downloadable content for Skyrim, and revisits the vampirism storylines from the main game. Players can either side with the vampires or become allies with the vampire hunters, known as Dawnguard.
Players on the Dawnguard side receive a special crossbow, while those choosing to support the vampires will unlock a special transformation, much like the Werewolf one, into a Vampire Lord.
Dawnguard is based around an old prophecy on an Elder scroll foreseeing a eternal obfuscation of the sun.
The story involves the return of the vampire lord Harkon and him seeking the end of the sun's tyranny. An order of vampire hunters called Dawnguard are set to hunt him down. In the expansion the player can choose to side with the vampires or Dawnguard and gain the respective benefits.
