The Companions

The Companions are a group of warriors similar to the fighters guild in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The Companions have been leaderless since their last leader, Ysgramor. Their harbinger is Kodlak Whitemane.
The Companions are based in Jorrvaskr , in Whiterun. The Companions are the the base of the Companions questline, which is started by joining the Companions.

There is a group within the Companions themselves which is called "The Circle". The circle consists of the werewolf members of the Companions. First encounter with the werewolves is during the Companions quest "Proving Honor".
