i heard that if you go to your pokegear, go to the radio and put the signal icon on the touch screen to the top i'll make a noise that will wake up pokemon, but you can't use it in battle[strike][/strike]

if in soul silver you go to pewter city and get the rainbow wing then go to ecrutaek city(you need the badge)go in the big shack and that guy will let you through go down the steps go in the tower then that guy will let you through go to the top and there he is

To get the pokeflute you must go to Lavender Town then you go up and ask the ask the guy for a upgrade and you have the pokeflute. To use the pokeflute go to the top of the radio thing and it will play a tune.

IF YOU WANT MEW FOR POKEMON BLUE/RED I GOT THE ANSWER HERE NON BOGUS COZ I DID IT AND I GOT HIM/HER/IT NOW!! Instructions: Restart your game and play until you get HM02 FLY from the house west of Celadon City IMPORTANT!! DO NOT FIGHT THE FOLLOWING TRAINERS: * The youngster with the slowpoke (level 17) on the road to bills house (route 25) He is the 4Th trainer after you cross nugget bridge standing directly above a female trainer, facing north. * The gambler with the two Poliwags and a Poliwhirl (all level 22) between Lavender Town and Saffron City (Route 8) He is just east of the entrance to Saffron City, Facing north toward the door of the underground path.
[MAKE SURE YOU HAVE LOTS OF GREAT BALLS(ULTRA IF U WANT) MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A POKEMON THAT KNOWS FLY. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A LEVEL 5 OR 6 POKEMON IN UR PARTY.] Now save your game before you enter route 8 since saving after this point will disrupt the procedure.
CAREFULLY follow the series of steps below and you will have mew in no time!
On route 8, stand in front of the door of the Underground path (DON'T let the gambler see you or you will need to restart from where you last saved) Walk down one step and IMMEDIATELY press start. If you succeed (50% chance), the menu will pop up before the gambler "sees" you and if you don't just restart and play until you do succeed. Go to the Pokemon list and FLY to Cerulean City. The gambler will see you just before you fly away. Your start button will no longer function. Go north across Nugget Bridge and head east until you find the Youngster described above. If you walk right up to him the game will lock up so you'll have to let him see you and walk up to you. Defeat his slowpoke (afterwards your star button will work again) then fly to Lavender Town. Head west into route 8. As soon as you enter the narrow path, the menu will pop up by itself. Press B to exit........ AND a wild mew should(WILL) appear(if you did it right!) Mew will be at Level 7 and its only attack is Pound! Go Get'em! Once you've caught Mew you can save without any ill effects!
Beating Red is easy, no legendarys involved. My team is Ninetails, Blastoise, Ampharos, Dragonite, Weevile, and the shiny Gyarados. You just need them to have good hold items and moves and at least level 65 and a few revives or so.

My team is Elective lvl55 (from event) Magmortar lvl57 (from event) Feraligatr (mr.jaws1st) lvl45 Lugia (storm) lvl46 Gyarados (rage) lvl 32 Dragonair (dragonoid) lvl 39 can't wait til it evolves but my Gyarados will be swaped with mewtwo lvl 70 I've got 9 badges I've completed it in 5 days straight red is easier than easy. I completed it 500 times and pokemon white 300 with every legendary.
U guys r noobs, the redflute IS NOT the pokeflute. The pokeflute is on your kanto radio. U have to moe that crusar (u know the one to change the radio station) to the top and move it around until u see pokeflute. Go up to the snorlax with the pokeflute on and battle him (catch him cuz i dont think he shows up a where else) and that clears away all that rubble from the volcano eruption near seafoam islands and u can get to pewter city now!
