Hi everybody! Can anyone tell me where the cactuar can be located? A firend of mine said it's worth alot of gil. Thanks in ADVANCE!

Alright, yeah. Check this out. Get the highwind and fly just over Cosmo Canyon. Point the airship south/very slightly Southwest. It's right near the bottom of what is the world map almost directly south of Cosmo Canyon.

Right well there are two places that I have ever seen it appear. It can be found in the desert area in front of one of the materia caves north of Mt. Corel.
Also if you go all the way down south from Cosmo Canyone Area and go search as far south as you can go before appearing in thew north then you should come across a small island which is partially covered in desert. In the desert area on that island you can also encounter them.

Take the Highwind and go just barely left of thecenter of the map. Then go straight down to the bottom of the map where you will find a couple of little islands, you should be able to land on at least one of them. Walk arond and you will meet one eventually.(They aren't hard to beat, but be prepared if you're on a low level.)

If you have a Gold Chocobo,go in the area next 2 the Golden Suacer Area where there is a light brownish soil,know just walk around there and you will fight it.

You can also morph it and get Tetra Elemental,which absorbs all elemental attacks,it very useful,you can sell it 4 a good price.An easier way is 2 take your Highwind and go 2 the left hand corner of the world map,all the way down is an island like the other one.

But the island is not located in the map,and you only fight Cactuars there like the other island.Make sure when your landing in the small island,you land in the greenish area,other wise you can't land there.

Actually, the 'cactaur' on the island most people think of is slightly different - it doesn't give 10,000 gold per victory, and isn't so prone to running away. The a and the you are transposed, so the one on the island south of Cosmo Canyon, which morphs to tetra-elemental, is "Cactuar", and the one in Corel Desert (Which, as far as I can see, you must have a buggy to enter into the desert's specific battles, or just after you are arrested) is called "Cactaur". It's the second one that supplies masses of gil, but, I can't get into the desert when the buggy's gone. So you may not be able to fight it. (If not, there's an weak enemy with 9000 hp that provides 200 ap, 5000 gil on the coast of the grassless part of the island where Mideel is. You should know where this is if you don't have the buggy anymore; if not, don't worry.)
