I've found no purpose whatsoever and I've completed absolutely everything in this game. You can only sell it for 50 gil.

The super sweeper is "a new mashine to protect the reacter". It can be sold for 50 gill but that wouldnt be smart. Go to fort condor and give it to the guy sitting at the table. He will give you the tiny bronco. And guess what...It Flys!
