Final Fantasy VII Questions

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to beat the big spider thing when you go to the Nibel mountains.

I would have Cloud, Red XIII and Vincent in your party at this time. You should get Vincent's leevl 2 limit break, Death Gigas. His level 1 limit break, Galliant Beast, isn't very useful because it is a fire-elemental based monster. Have Red XIII's limt break set to level one and when he has his limit break ready use Lunatic High and your party. Cloud's best limt break level at this time is level 2. If you have Climhazzard then this should make things easier. It will be unlikely that you have any of his level 3 limit breaks at this point in the game. Make sure they are all at least level 30.
Now for the main battle.
The Materia Keeper (the monster you are fighting) absorbs Fire spells. This means any Fire spells cast on it will heal it. This is why it is best to have Vincent's level 2 limit break. Attack with hard hitting spells like Bolt 2 and Ice 2. Also use all of your summons exept Ifrit. The Materia Keeper's most powerful attack is Trine. You can actually learn this if you have the Enemy Skill materia equipped. Its other attacks are powerful too so keep a close eye on your HP. Cure 2 is helpful and so is Regen (if you have it). Later on in the battle the Materia Keeper will start healing itself with Cure 2. Since it heals about 100 HP at a time it isn't so bad. Keep using your strongest attacks and you should defeat it without much trouble.
The Materia Keeper has 8000 HP. Good luck in defeating it.
