The Kalm Traveller is in the bedroom in one of the hosues in Kalm.

Kalm is the town you go to after you leave Midgar, and the Kalm traveller is on the top floor of one of the five or so houses.

The kalm traveller is in the room in kalm where you got the free elixir with the guy in the same room, and hes old. Hes useless until the weapons are unleashed. Anyway, go to the bar in kalm, don't go in. Go a tiny bit southeast as in down then to your right. Then open the door. You will see his wife and she will not be of any help. Go up the stairs and talk to him when weapons are unleashed. He will say he needs a desert rose(beat ruby weapon, make him appear by beating ultima weapon), a guidebook, something you get by morphing the monster in the sunken ship(accessable by submarine only) and an earth harp(earth gets you all mastered materia, guidebook gets you underwater breathing vs emerald materia, and desert rose gets you a golden chocobo. I find it easier to get the golden chocobo this way, as I like to kill emerald and ruby anyway. It is also fun to do the races though.
