Revisiting Sector 7, Don's basement on Disk 3

I revisited Don's basement in Sector 7 on Disk 3 to find someone tied up, I decided to help him then he said something about Don being taken away by ShinRa.
I then went to the Honey Bee club to find it was occupied by ShinRa, is this another sidequest or something?

No the last thing to do with Don Corneo happens in Wutai but you must have missed it. When you go to Wutai the first time you need to have gotten Yuffie, there will be a sidequest there then involving Don Corneo. If you play through again after beating it get Yuffie before Wutai, you can find her in one of the forests near the Mythril Mines after going through there or in a forest near Cosmo Canyon.

The honey bee club is occupied by Shinra on disk 2 aswell. But there was no one locked in the basement. I don't know of any sidequest there so go along with it. You never know what you might find!
