Match Making romance?

Two of my sims (who live together) have romance/family aspirations and they have been unable to meet someone they're compatible with. So, I created two sims specifically for them down the block. How do I get them to meet? Do I just have to wait for them to "bump" into eachother?.....my sims are MISERABLE. Any advice would be appreciated.Thank you!

You will have to meet them at a public place. If you make them their neighbors, then they may come over to your house to welcome you to the neighborhood.
