how can i make sure my sim has a girl

There's a quick cheat for that but I forgot it. Maybe someone else knows it.

Press CTRL, SHIFT, C and type:

BoolProp forceboy 100 for males
BoolProp forcegirl 100 for females

This cheat works about 75% because the game is attempting to keep a balance between male and female sims in your neighborhood - if you have lots of male sims living in your 'hood, the game will give you lots of female babies, and vice versa.

Or you can also try saving just before your Sim gives birth (when the girl goes into labour there's a brief pause before the message that a new Sim is on the way - pause the game here and save it) and try going back to the neighbourhood without saving, come back to the household and replay the birth scene. A bit of work, but this is how I did it before I found out about this cheat :P is the cheat safe though?

If you type in BoolProp forcegirl 100 it gives you males not females. I tried it the other way around to get the gender I wanted.

Thank you so so so much for this!i'm doing a Harry Potter story and I had to make sure Harry and Dudley were born as boys and not as girls but I Kept having girls untill I got this cheat thank you so much!

right before your sim gives birth, save the game, then if you don't get the baby you want, whether it has the wrong features or gender, exit the family without saving and then go back. A different baby comes every time!

Also, you can eat certain things (my sim ate just cereals and had a beautiful baby girl I named Philippa), but for a boy you can eat apples (I read it somewhere). Good luck!
